Peyton has never actually acknowledged the existence of TO, has he?

They've never played in the same conference!
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Thursday, 5 March 2009 18:26 (seventeen years ago)
Honestly, though, they would be fucking scary, and if Peyton can't keep TO in line, no one can.

i think peyton might be the perfect foil to t.o., actually, as long as he turns every attempted t.o. coup into positive reinforcement a la the mastercard commercial.
― 'event horizon' director paul WS anderson (omar little), Thursday, 5 March 2009 18:28 (seventeen years ago)
Also, I bet TO would really enjoy playing for a black coach, and especially a "classy" one in the Dungy/Caldwell vein.

i honestly will not miss Birk, no offense dan.
I never got over the shady passive aggressive shit he was pulling in the late days of Randy Moss on our local sports talk radio. and his fucking holding the team ransom on his year long rehab.
he's one of those "classy" guys that's sort of more a prima donna on the low than dudes that have a bad rap IMO.

herm edwards was just on espn talking about t.o. and said tenn would be a good fit for him w/ all the veterans there - kind of intriguing altho i think he would die in a run 1st and 2nd offense
herm was good on espn too

fisher would chew him up and leave him on the bench if he fucked around; don't know how that would play it out, but I'd be curious to see. Wherever he goes now, it's pretty much last chance.

I just can't understand why the Cowboys would cut TO. How does that help them in any way???
― Mr. Snrub, Thursday, 5 March 2009 23:58 (seventeen years ago)
My god if the Jets were to talk Favre to come out of retirement and signed TO, I swear they could change the name of ESPN to JETSTV.
The thing is that if the Colts signed Owens there would be tons of NFL Films footage of Peyton Manning when he gets into his high pitched pissy voice. The guy doesn't exactly come across like Charles Bronson on the sidelines in that Americas Game. The scene when Manning gets all up in Saturday's face, he is pissed and yelling at him, but there is a little bit of Barney Fife in the voice that doesn't quite jive. T.O. crying while Manning brow beats him in that voice would be pretty classic. It would also be funny to see if playing one year with T.O. could completely destroy Manning's marketing opportunities. Owen's pretty much screwed up McNabb's and Romo's public "persona". If he could take out Manning, I think they could do case studies on him in B-schools around the world.
― earlnash, Friday, 6 March 2009 00:24 (seventeen years ago)
The best part about the Cowboys cutting Owens is that it cost Jerry Jones 9 million bucks. Take mind, the dude has enough millions that he could afford to toss 9 mil into the trash, but still any rich asshole knows when they blew 9 million bucks (unless it is up their nose).

Resolved QuestionShow me another »
Why were Reche Caldwell eyes so big during the game tonight?
Are they always that big, or is it because he's dropped two sure passes? Or is because he took an illegal substance before the game? Man I bet they are really big now cause they just lost.

Second chances. Everyone deserves them.
Even Michael Vick.
Whoa, not so fast, you might say. He killed dogs for sport. He deserves to be banned from the game of football forever.
Hold on a second.
What kind of a society are we if we don't give everyone the chance to prove their mistake was just that?
A mistake.
And if we don't give Michael Vick a second chance, what are we really saying about him?
Darryl Strawberry had a second chance.
O.J. Simpson had a second chance.
Heck, Terrell Owens has had two, going on three second chances.
Doesn't Michael Vick deserve at least one?
Sure, you say. But the dog thing. What about that?
Well I say he's still a young man, one who has hopefully outgrown his wayward ways of youth. He needs our support, our care, and yes, our love. Because if we don't give him any of that, we might as well cast some stones at ourselves, because we've all been given second chances before, even if we don't know it. You want to be the one to say second chances aren't deserved?
That dog just don't hunt.
