"Russell Wilson looks pretty awesome btw"

Gruden was totally into Wilson on that QB Camp show on ESPN a few months back. Gruden seemed pretty impressed by him.

earlnash, Saturday, 25 August 2012 06:07 (thirteen years ago)

everyone raved about him but most ended up writing him off because he was short.

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 26 August 2012 00:49 (thirteen years ago)

it would be hilarious if after all this RG3/Luck hype the best rookie quarterback turns out to be a third-rounder.

59 yd run by Pryor

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 26 August 2012 01:22 (thirteen years ago)

then a 20 yd TD run

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 26 August 2012 01:26 (thirteen years ago)

ok Pryor making a statement

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 26 August 2012 02:04 (thirteen years ago)

76 yd TD pass to Criner

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 26 August 2012 02:05 (thirteen years ago)

Pryor has 213 yds of offense on 5 plays

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 26 August 2012 02:06 (thirteen years ago)

TERRELLE

johnny crunch, Sunday, 26 August 2012 02:07 (thirteen years ago)

Pryor was good today. However, he's still Terrelle Pryor and he will make you sad eventually.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 26 August 2012 04:36 (thirteen years ago)

well then he'll fit right in

pryor could be something at QB, is in a shitty spot right now

young money color me badd (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 26 August 2012 05:16 (thirteen years ago)

I really enjoyed watching Russell Wilson with the Badgers, he's the real deal

frogbs, Sunday, 26 August 2012 05:43 (thirteen years ago)

Jon Gruden kind of grills some of those guys pretty good on that show and some like Colt McCoy kind of wilt a bit under his badgering. Talking football, JG seemed really impressed by the game knowledge Wilson and that dude from Boise had (along with the obvious in Luck and the just unbelievable skills of RGIII). He stated the dude from Boise might not have the arm or body to make it work in the NFL, but he's a coach in waiting now. Gruden was kind of comparing Wilson a bit to dude like Brees who kind of had some of the similar knocks coming out of Purdue (too small, not a big enough arm) etc.

why is it a bad spot? There's no pressure, they have pretty good receivers, Carson Palmer is a good guy to learn from.

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 26 August 2012 07:16 (thirteen years ago)

A bad spot would be some team that was trying to turn him into a pocket passer and throwing him to the wolves as a starter.

Matt Armstrong, Sunday, 26 August 2012 07:25 (thirteen years ago)

Watching the replay. Greg Papa keeps calling him "Al Davis's final draft pick".

Peyton's arm strength is totally gone. He still looks pretty good.

stuck with a vitally important local cultural institution that is owned by a complete asshole

it's always been this way for washington, it's just that some of the complete assholes win football games and some don't

bcuz there was a change in the front office so they don't have much invested in his development

young money color me badd (J0rdan S.), Monday, 27 August 2012 02:23 (thirteen years ago)

I hadn't seen any preseason Jets games until tonight. Hoo boy, I look forward to seeing them get beaten a lot this year!

wayne hunter for jason smith, classic change of scenery trade

pun lovin criminal (polyphonic), Tuesday, 28 August 2012 01:25 (thirteen years ago)

this seems like a clear improvement for the jets? smith is a bust as a top 3 pick, whereas hunter is a straight bust as an nfl player. i assume smith arrives with a hefty contract.

Roberto Spiralli, Tuesday, 28 August 2012 02:50 (thirteen years ago)

nah his deal this year is pretty cheap iirc

smith is terrible btw + also has a concussion history. he's a soft guy in a power run scheme. good luck, jets.

young money color me badd (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 28 August 2012 04:27 (thirteen years ago)

i mean wayne hunter was absolutely garbage so no harm no foul, but smith won't be starting there in week 8

Jason Smith was arguably the worst starting LT in the entire NFL last season

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 28 August 2012 21:25 (thirteen years ago)

where are the arguments abt worst/best lineman happening? srs question, i always feel like i want to know more in depth shit abt o-linemen & how they're playin from wk-to-wk

johnny crunch, Tuesday, 28 August 2012 22:14 (thirteen years ago)

i feel like when people talk about offensive linemen that don't play for their home team or the team they watch every week, they are just speculating
