Well it's the same number of games tho right, only one more national televised game? And I have one more day a week I can watch football right? I am in favor.

Saw a few more of the Jon Gruden QB Camp episodes. He really seems to like this year's crop more than the ones from seasons past or at least thinks they got the mental part of the game down pretty well. Either that or people maybe go in expecting what he does a bit more, as some of the earlier ones the dude would be kind of awkward not knowing how to take some of the stuff Gruden's saying.

Gruden gave alot of respect to Boise St's Kellen Moore. Pretty much saying he really knows the position and even if he doesn't make it as a player, the dude is going to be a good coach at some point that he wouldn't want to have to go against as the guy knows the game well.

Gruden also was really impressed by Wisconsin QB Russell Wilson's decision making and leadership. JG stated that his height is going to be an issue but used the example of how he wrote of that guy Brady, as his 40 time and shuttle speed wasn't so hot.

This full-season Thursday night thing would have pissed me off if I was living somewhere I didn't get NFLN. But now I get it, so lol eff everyone who doesn't amirite!

Outside The Lines report cites sources re: GM Mickey Loomis & in-game electronic eavesdropping.

polyphonic, Monday, 23 April 2012 19:53 (fourteen years ago)

Mickey Loomis on OTL Report: "This is 1,000 percent false. This is 1,000 percent inaccurate."

It's almost like this guy is running the Saints.

earlnash, Monday, 23 April 2012 22:51 (fourteen years ago)

this is a series of tweets from a guy i know in New Orleans...i can vouch that he definitely works for a big A/V tech installation company down there and isn't like crazy or whatever:

Considering we're the people who did the Superdome AV renovations after Katrina, I'd love to know how Loomis understood a stadium AV oneline

You don't just flip a switch and BOOM, you're listening to opposing coaches.

I'd also like to meet the brave soul who swam through 6ft of flooded Superdome in Sept. '05 to disconnect one wireless system.

I'd also like to know where that brave soul found parking.

for superbowl arenas, pick an NFC and AFC location and have the winner of the pro bowl host?

"in this super-sexy postracial age" (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 26 April 2012 14:54 (fourteen years ago)

wait how would that work

call all destroyer, Thursday, 26 April 2012 15:09 (fourteen years ago)

let's say the 2015 Superbowl will be played in either Lucas Oil or the Metrodome depending on whether the AFC or NFC wins the 2014 pro bowl and they make this announcement at the start of the 2013 season

"in this super-sexy postracial age" (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 26 April 2012 15:17 (fourteen years ago)

don't really know if that would be any incentive; i have no idea if teams really have CONFERENCE PRIDE

"in this super-sexy postracial age" (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 26 April 2012 15:18 (fourteen years ago)

yeah i don't think that's enough incentive to risk getting hurt. this game should totally be banned gj nfl.

call all destroyer, Thursday, 26 April 2012 15:20 (fourteen years ago)

yup fuck this pony ride. i would rather have each conference pick a champion to represent them playing the super bowl on madden. i could get into that.

Roberto Spiralli, Thursday, 26 April 2012 15:22 (fourteen years ago)

the real answer is that they pay the winning players some obscene amount of money.
also that they put bounties on the quarterbacks

"in this super-sexy postracial age" (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 26 April 2012 15:22 (fourteen years ago)

ban forks

J0rdan S., Thursday, 26 April 2012 17:29 (fourteen years ago)

the real answer is who gives an f about an all star football game

J0rdan S., Thursday, 26 April 2012 17:29 (fourteen years ago)

what they should do is literally play flag football and only send qbs/rbs/wrs/tes/cbs/lbs/safeties

J0rdan S., Thursday, 26 April 2012 17:30 (fourteen years ago)

the real answer is who gives an f about an all star football game

Yes.

But also I desperately miss when they would make the players row boats and lift weights and ride bikes and shit like the Battle of the Network Stars or whatev. I always watched that. Bring that back plz

polyphonic, Thursday, 26 April 2012 17:43 (fourteen years ago)

they should play a basketball game.

"in this super-sexy postracial age" (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 26 April 2012 17:44 (fourteen years ago)

i bet THAT shit would get competitive

"in this super-sexy postracial age" (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 26 April 2012 17:44 (fourteen years ago)

vilma flag posted for the season. saints have to be thinking of letting him go.

Roberto Spiralli, Wednesday, 2 May 2012 15:59 (fourteen years ago)

Jonathan Vilma, all of 2012; Anthony Hargrove, 8 games; Will Smith, 4 games; and Scott Fujita, 3 games.

I'm disappointed that I can't find the video of Bill Cosby praising Junior Seau on Letterman or whatever show it was.
