They might as well. What else is NFL Network supposed to cover during the weeks between the playoffs and the Super Bowl?

Johnny Fever, Monday, 24 January 2011 04:45 (fifteen years ago)

PRO BOWL

VegemiteGrrrl, Monday, 24 January 2011 04:45 (fifteen years ago)

:D

VegemiteGrrrl, Monday, 24 January 2011 04:46 (fifteen years ago)

*shrug*

I do like that "MORE PLAYERS THAN EVER BEFORE" are going to be mic'ed in this year's game, though.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 24 January 2011 04:51 (fifteen years ago)

I just like Pro Bowl for lols, also bc it will make me sad not to watch football on weekends anymore so I'll take whatever boot scrapings I can get

VegemiteGrrrl, Monday, 24 January 2011 04:55 (fifteen years ago)

We should start a summer football league. Too bad we let the Silverdome get away from us.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 24 January 2011 04:56 (fifteen years ago)

I like that idea!

VegemiteGrrrl, Monday, 24 January 2011 04:57 (fifteen years ago)

Maybe we could wage a hostile takeover of the Silverdome

VegemiteGrrrl, Monday, 24 January 2011 04:57 (fifteen years ago)

i hope dennis gets to go to the super bowl

wee-based god (J0rdan S.), Monday, 24 January 2011 05:06 (fifteen years ago)

Yes, Dennis!

Johnny Fever, Monday, 24 January 2011 05:10 (fifteen years ago)

The power of the hatcat has proven itself over the course of the season. I say we give him a vacation for the Super Bowl and then map out some strategic uses for him next season.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 24 January 2011 05:46 (fifteen years ago)

But first, maybe we should hatcat Roger Goodell.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 24 January 2011 05:50 (fifteen years ago)

Tony Siragusa should be hatc4t.

polyphonic, Monday, 24 January 2011 06:05 (fifteen years ago)

maybe we should make Rothlisberger hatcat for the superbowl

VegemiteGrrrl, Monday, 24 January 2011 06:18 (fifteen years ago)

IRL lols @ roethlisberger getting bitchmade onfield

Watching live, I somehow missed the on-field humping but the Rex Ryan tantrum was A+ awesome and only could have been better if he'd also destroyed his clipboard by ripping it apart with his teeth or torn open his vest a la Hulk Hogan.

a sponge for all things naughty (jdchurchill), Monday, 24 January 2011 08:01 (fifteen years ago)

awful jets fan in bar last night--screaming, basically jumping out of his seat begging for pass interference and roughing-the-sanchize penalties (btw his #6 jersey went down to the tops of his knees)--even the other folks who were there to support the jets were telling him to calm the fuck down.

when the steelers were finally in the victory formation i made sure to check what he was doing--naturally he was texting, furiously.

call all destroyer, Monday, 24 January 2011 14:51 (fifteen years ago)

which ILXor did it end up being

also eternal lol @ Ryan tantrum as well

Indolence Mission (DJP), Monday, 24 January 2011 14:58 (fifteen years ago)

lol it will remain a mystery.

btw this was at the thirsty scholar (the bar in the social network)--that place is fucked up--i'm really glad we lost trivia and don't have to go back there.

call all destroyer, Monday, 24 January 2011 15:01 (fifteen years ago)

on its 11pm "news" last night, the nyc fox station had live reports from a new jersey bar, a long island house party and a modell's in times square (?) reporting on fan reaction to the loss.

there was a dude crying in the new jersey bar

http://c0848462.cdn.cloudfiles.rackspacecloud.com/3d93bd2c4f3f1b33c02182fd0f20476f.png jersey burning fans are assholes imo.

"No limp" is hardly proof of dogging it, a close friend of mine has had similar knee damage and has been in severe pain despite surgery...has missed rehearsals and work, but has no limp at all.

They are saying MCL tear in knee atm, determining the Grade of it.

show me your ticks (San Te), Monday, 24 January 2011 16:59 (fifteen years ago)

lol, after the broncos thing i was firmly against jay http://c0848462.cdn.cloudfiles.rackspacecloud.com/3d93bd2c4f3f1b33c02182fd0f20476f.png in the court of public opinion, but now i'm back on his side -- let's party, jay!!!

wee-based god (J0rdan S.), Monday, 24 January 2011 17:01 (fifteen years ago)

anyone who would bother burning any football jersey is an asshole imo.

get off my lawn (rockapads), Monday, 24 January 2011 17:03 (fifteen years ago)

Those things are fucking expensive.

VegemiteGrrrl, Monday, 24 January 2011 17:03 (fifteen years ago)

Yea I had the sense to just throw my Miami Culpepper jersey in the trash

show me your ticks (San Te), Monday, 24 January 2011 17:04 (fifteen years ago)

yeah, donate it to Goodwill or something- sheesh.

xp (or just throw it away, too)

get off my lawn (rockapads), Monday, 24 January 2011 17:05 (fifteen years ago)

Yea I woulda donated to Goodwill but we were clearing stuff out of an old house on a deadline and had to discard what we couldn't transport.

Still the worst jersey I ever bought.

show me your ticks (San Te), Monday, 24 January 2011 17:11 (fifteen years ago)

That's why you should piss on it, videotape it and post it to Youtube, and then wash it and take it to Goodwill.

Pleasant Plains, Monday, 24 January 2011 17:12 (fifteen years ago)

haha exactly!

VegemiteGrrrl, Monday, 24 January 2011 17:17 (fifteen years ago)

After the Culpepper debacle I wanted to defecate on it, strap dynamite to it, explode it...sew it back together, wash it, and force a Raiders fan to wear it at gunpoint the next year

show me your ticks (San Te), Monday, 24 January 2011 17:21 (fifteen years ago)

HEY

VegemiteGrrrl, Monday, 24 January 2011 17:22 (fifteen years ago)

Not you tho lol

show me your ticks (San Te), Monday, 24 January 2011 17:26 (fifteen years ago)

burning the jersey is just a bit of fun ok chill

ice cr?m, Monday, 24 January 2011 17:27 (fifteen years ago)

Xpost I'm still mad that mediocre SOB beat us on our own field the next year

show me your ticks (San Te), Monday, 24 January 2011 17:28 (fifteen years ago)

am0n, Monday, 24 January 2011 17:31 (fifteen years ago)

What if it's a Patriots jersey.

Pleasant Plains, Monday, 24 January 2011 17:33 (fifteen years ago)

at least the Cavs season ended much earlier this year, fans can do other things like boating and fly fishing!

show me your ticks (San Te), Monday, 24 January 2011 17:34 (fifteen years ago)

only a terrorist would do that, pp

am0n, Monday, 24 January 2011 17:47 (fifteen years ago)

burning a pats jersey just means you hate america which is your choice since we have freedom of speech here

ice cr?m, Monday, 24 January 2011 17:50 (fifteen years ago)

the thing that surprises me most about the http://c0848462.cdn.cloudfiles.rackspacecloud.com/3d93bd2c4f3f1b33c02182fd0f20476f.png jersey-burning is that anyone actually bought a http://c0848462.cdn.cloudfiles.rackspacecloud.com/3d93bd2c4f3f1b33c02182fd0f20476f.png jersey.

get off my lawn (rockapads), Monday, 24 January 2011 18:07 (fifteen years ago)

I mean, I have come to like the guy OK, and I hope this blows over and he stays with Chi and matures as a QB, but I just can't imagine getting his jersey as opposed to Urlacher or Hester's.

get off my lawn (rockapads), Monday, 24 January 2011 18:07 (fifteen years ago)

Yea buying QB jerseys, unless they are those of proven top tier QBs like Rivers/Brady/Manning/Rodgers etc just increases likelihood that you'll have a useless outdated jersey in three years.

Go for the positions where longevity is more likely -- my Zach Thomas gave me a lot of usage!
