you should! brett's listening to it right now.

Daniel, Esq., Tuesday, 12 October 2010 19:20 (fifteen years ago)

. . . and he's having fun.

Daniel, Esq., Tuesday, 12 October 2010 19:20 (fifteen years ago)

So would have Johnny Unitas sent cock pics to the ladies? I think he might have whittled a model out of a 2x4.
You KNOW Joe Namath was mailing Polaroids all over the NY Metro area, he was a freak.
I think Dan Fouts would have sent over some watercolors that he did.

Theisman had some etchings he wanted you to see... they're right over here under his bed.

I wanted to try so hard to not post anything about this because I don't really care, and my Schadenfavre only extends to him losing football games and throwing shitty passes, but I just wanted to acknowledge gbx's accommodation w/o reaction post, because I appreciate any USMLE Step 1 study mnemonic reference on ILNFL.

The best part of that clip is the security guard taking out the other security guard going for the runner.

brett favre has admitted to being the man in the voicemails, btw, but NOT the man in the photographs, even though the pix came from the same number as the messages...? how in the world does he think this will work?

My wife just got back from a week deep in Packer territory and a crusty old woman bartender told her "brett meant to send those texts to his wife but they got intercepted" before laughing manically.

in my world of Hmong ppl (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Monday, 13 December 2010 23:15 (fifteen years ago)

I kind of wonder how long Brady and Manning will hang around.

Tom Brady will go one of two ways, he will get hurt and hang it up or he will walk out on top maybe a bit early. (YO TAKE A HINT WONDERBOY!)

Peyton Manning I can't figure, I could see him being a total crusty bastard and trying to play forever. He always has had that old grouchy vet thing going since he came into the league. The thing I really want to know is if the guy is so addicted to the game will he actually be a superstar that goes into coaching. I could see him as a college coach just so he can go back and beat the tar out of an 85 year old Steve Spurrier.

earlnash, Monday, 13 December 2010 23:36 (fifteen years ago)

i think brady will play longer than ppl think, barring injury

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 14 December 2010 00:11 (fifteen years ago)

pre-game brett remembrances are too much to stomach already

Ok, so Mr. Favre is probably done this time.

I'd imagine the bidding war has already begun between Fox, CBS, NBC, ESPN and the NFL Network on trying to get Brett to work on pre-post football.

I think Fox will lay out anything to get him, you know they want that oh shucks dude right there inbetween Howie Long and Terry Bradshaw.

Mark it down...big money will be spent.

earlnash, Monday, 3 January 2011 02:53 (fifteen years ago)

do u really think he'll do tv??

call all destroyer, Monday, 3 January 2011 02:53 (fifteen years ago)

He will do a Wrangler movie

VegemiteGrrrl, Monday, 3 January 2011 02:54 (fifteen years ago)

I can't see it...he doesn't have enough going on upstairs to put together a noun and a verb. I know that usually doesn't matter, but

looking forward to the law and order svu episode involving a sexual assault of a sideline reporter by a star QB, final scene w/the law and order "ominous ambient tone" in the interrogation room coming as meloni traps the dude into fessing up and he tries to get meloni on his "side", saying "hey man, it was just fun, right? you know how it is." "not my kind of fun," meloni snaps. hold on broken face of aged qb, fade to black, executive producer dick wolf.

zvookster, Monday, 3 January 2011 03:01 (fifteen years ago)

"I can't see it...he doesn't have enough going on upstairs to put together a noun and a verb. I know that usually doesn't matter, but"

Terry Bradshaw has pulled it off for 30 years. Dude Favre dropping shuck and jive about crazy stuff on the field would be gold.

It is way too easy money to turn down. Some of them are obviously not that good at it or don't like it, but most of the big stars at least try it for a bit (even Joe Montana and the Bus).

earlnash, Monday, 3 January 2011 03:21 (fifteen years ago)

I don't get the economic logic of how every retiring nfl player somehow ends up becoming a tv personality, aren't we gonna have a bubble soon?

iatee, Monday, 3 January 2011 06:28 (fifteen years ago)

The CBS pregame show is so brutal.
