brownie, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:07 (sixteen years ago)

Is there someplace on the net with clips from that Australian PTI?

I want to watch that thing.

OK if ESPN is going to show CFL playoff highlights, it is definitely time to put the actual games on ESPN2 or something. Come on, slightly unusual football with announcers making fun of Canada at all opportunities is worth televising.

C-L, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:10 (sixteen years ago)

Actually I think there was a website listed the last time they showed the ad. I forgot it, but there is inexplicably another half of this game left, so they'll probably show it again.

C-L, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:12 (sixteen years ago)

dunno if you watch 30 rock but the CFL gag they did last episode was teh funny imo

brownie, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:17 (sixteen years ago)

ESPN needs to turn one of those networks into what ESPN was like when it first started...all Australian Rules Football, Cricket, CFL and Sports Center.

Aussie football could have actually caught on in the US. There is a total brutality in that game that American's can appreciate, plus their referee's are dapper as fxxk.

earlnash, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:18 (sixteen years ago)

the comcast sports network inexplicably plays CFL games sometimes, i'm pretty sure

peed on tree (k3vin k.), Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:23 (sixteen years ago)

Honestly I would just like ESPN Esoterica, devoted to random foreign sports. Like, there is apparently college football in Japan! I want to watch that, at least once.

xp Oh man do you think they have Fantasy Australian Rules Football?

C-L, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:24 (sixteen years ago)

10 guys pizza

brownie, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:24 (sixteen years ago)

Holy shit someone may actually score in this game!

C-L, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:24 (sixteen years ago)

guess not xp to myself

peed on tree (k3vin k.), Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:24 (sixteen years ago)

welp 7 is too much for the browns right

johnny crunch, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:24 (sixteen years ago)

Hahaha of course the first TD is scored when the defense has 10 guys on the field. Why does this game exist?

C-L, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:25 (sixteen years ago)

done and done

brownie, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:26 (sixteen years ago)

C MON MAN (daria-g), Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:27 (sixteen years ago)

Honestly I would just like ESPN Esoterica, devoted to random foreign sports.

I totally got into watching olympic handball in 2008, which was kind of a cross between dodgeball, basketball and soccer. Why the hell that isn't a huge commercial sport is beyond me.

Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:28 (sixteen years ago)

everything since the 1pm games ended -> smh

C MON MAN (daria-g), Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:28 (sixteen years ago)

johnny crunch, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:28 (sixteen years ago)

HA, check this out. I think the NBA needs this kind of press release.

Media release from the Australian Football League 4:21 PM Tue 10 November, 2009

THE AFL has welcomed Tuesday's statement by the Victorian Commission for Gambling Regulation (VCGR) about the integrity of AFL matches.

The VCGR said not only was it satisfied that sufficient measures are in place to safeguard the sport’s integrity but the AFL had exceeded the VCGR’s own benchmarks.

AFL General Manager Legal and Business Affairs, Andrew Dillon, said it was happy to assist the VCGR with its inquires after it wrote to the AFL in August seeking its views.

“The AFL welcomes the VCGR’s statement and its support for the range of measures we have implemented to safeguard the integrity of AFL matches,” he said.

“The AFL has worked diligently to strengthen our procedures that protect the integrity of the game and we want to assure all clubs, players and supporters that we will continue to do so.”

earlnash, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:29 (sixteen years ago)

(Steven Hauschka missed PAT)

this guy is trolling right?

house of flying jaggers (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:30 (sixteen years ago)

Hahaha I thought the AFL Draft Machine was for like the Mel Kiper Jr./Chad Ford of AFL. I guess it is sadder to have AFL Mel Kiper Jr. than to have Fantasy AFL, though.

Of course there is a blocked XP.

C-L, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:30 (sixteen years ago)

this team

brownie, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:30 (sixteen years ago)

X-POINT BLOCK WILL COME BACK TO HAUNT THE RAVENS

brownie, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:31 (sixteen years ago)

Guys, I started that kicker. I needed 2 points from him to win in fantasy. So far he's given me -3.

Mordy, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:32 (sixteen years ago)

Yeah but in anti-fantasy he prob has 1 million points (unless blocked XPs do not count as missed XPs).

C-L, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:34 (sixteen years ago)

yeah this is the final week of the hauschka experiment for me--i was like there's no way a kicker can be THIS bad, right?

weatheringdaleson, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:36 (sixteen years ago)

what a terrible offense

omaha deserved 311 (call all destroyer), Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:36 (sixteen years ago)

My all-time standard for poor special teams was a freshman high school football game--admittedly, featuring a kid who probably had kicked for like four days in his entire life--where the punter struck the ball too high up, which made it sail directly over his head and out of the back of his own end zone. It was AMAZING.

C-L, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:36 (sixteen years ago)

i can't believe this offense

brownie, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:37 (sixteen years ago)

xp hahahaha that rules

omaha deserved 311 (call all destroyer), Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:38 (sixteen years ago)

The AFL draft machine is even better, as you can pick a position, go for a skill than add in TALL and it wills show you who your club should draft.

earlnash, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:38 (sixteen years ago)

THANK GOD

Mordy, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:40 (sixteen years ago)

ONLY TWO TD'S DOWN

brownie, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:40 (sixteen years ago)

Jesus, hauschka. You SUCK

Mordy, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:40 (sixteen years ago)

i know right! if he missed it i was gonna be behind again

omaha deserved 311 (call all destroyer), Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:40 (sixteen years ago)

Average Gain Per Play 2.9

i can't even fathom how a group of "professionals" could end up with this result - it literally boggles the mind

house of flying jaggers (J0rdan S.), Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:40 (sixteen years ago)

yeah.. a few min ago gruden and jaws gave up & basically said the reason the browns offense doesn't work is because nearly all the players are terrible

C MON MAN (daria-g), Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:41 (sixteen years ago)

I saw a kid get kicked out of a JV football game for kicking a kid in the nads after he said they were "biting" him at the bottom of a pile. I was next to the coach when it happened, the ref came over and said to our coach, "Number 32 is ejected from the game, he kicked the boy in the groin." I swear I have chuckled about that scene for years.
