chuckie has a point! what if ravens wear throwbacks and thus become the cleveland browns.. wait, somehow i think that happened & explains this game

I fully support letting Texas Tech be the only team in I-A football allowed to run the A-11 offense. Really whatever formation Mike Leach devises should be considered legal, and wonderful. In return for this I demand one game per year between Texas Tech and either Georgia Tech or Navy, who are awesome for the exact opposite reason.

why are ravens so bad all of a sudden

OK come the fuck on the MNF Spotlight on Brady Quinn is getting Favreian, except that Brett Favre is not a mediocre quarterback for a bad team. (He is a horrible person, but that's not the point.) They would not be showing Age 4 photos of Derek Anderson.

he was 24 when he did that drawing its not that funny

God I did not even realize that it is almost halftime. I feel like nothing has happened in this game, except that now I want to move to Australia a little, knowing that I will not miss football.
OK now I definitely do because this ad has just happened:

OK if ESPN is going to show CFL playoff highlights, it is definitely time to put the actual games on ESPN2 or something. Come on, slightly unusual football with announcers making fun of Canada at all opportunities is worth televising.
― C-L, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:10 (sixteen years ago)
Actually I think there was a website listed the last time they showed the ad. I forgot it, but there is inexplicably another half of this game left, so they'll probably show it again.
― C-L, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:12 (sixteen years ago)
dunno if you watch 30 rock but the CFL gag they did last episode was teh funny imo
― brownie, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:17 (sixteen years ago)
ESPN needs to turn one of those networks into what ESPN was like when it first started...all Australian Rules Football, Cricket, CFL and Sports Center.
Aussie football could have actually caught on in the US. There is a total brutality in that game that American's can appreciate, plus their referee's are dapper as fxxk.
― earlnash, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:18 (sixteen years ago)
the comcast sports network inexplicably plays CFL games sometimes, i'm pretty sure

Honestly I would just like ESPN Esoterica, devoted to random foreign sports. Like, there is apparently college football in Japan! I want to watch that, at least once.
xp Oh man do you think they have Fantasy Australian Rules Football?

10 guys pizza
― brownie, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:24 (sixteen years ago)

― peed on tree (k3vin k.), Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:24 (sixteen years ago)
welp 7 is too much for the browns right
― johnny crunch, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:24 (sixteen years ago)
Hahaha of course the first TD is scored when the defense has 10 guys on the field. Why does this game exist?

Honestly I would just like ESPN Esoterica, devoted to random foreign sports.
I totally got into watching olympic handball in 2008, which was kind of a cross between dodgeball, basketball and soccer. Why the hell that isn't a huge commercial sport is beyond me.

HA, check this out. I think the NBA needs this kind of press release.
Media release from the Australian Football League 4:21 PM Tue 10 November, 2009
THE AFL has welcomed Tuesday's statement by the Victorian Commission for Gambling Regulation (VCGR) about the integrity of AFL matches.
The VCGR said not only was it satisfied that sufficient measures are in place to safeguard the sport’s integrity but the AFL had exceeded the VCGR’s own benchmarks.
AFL General Manager Legal and Business Affairs, Andrew Dillon, said it was happy to assist the VCGR with its inquires after it wrote to the AFL in August seeking its views.
“The AFL welcomes the VCGR’s statement and its support for the range of measures we have implemented to safeguard the integrity of AFL matches,” he said.
“The AFL has worked diligently to strengthen our procedures that protect the integrity of the game and we want to assure all clubs, players and supporters that we will continue to do so.”

Hahaha I thought the AFL Draft Machine was for like the Mel Kiper Jr./Chad Ford of AFL. I guess it is sadder to have AFL Mel Kiper Jr. than to have Fantasy AFL, though.
Of course there is a blocked XP.
