Alex Len is a guy who didn't make that list that I think teams should consider giving 9m+ and seeing what Sarver does. Worth the gamble.

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 12 April 2017 22:00 (one year ago) Permalink

Len would be good at that price, and you could probably count on minor improvement year over year for the next 4-5 years out of him.

Lebro v. Wade (Spottie), Wednesday, 12 April 2017 22:32 (one year ago) Permalink

Iggy basically said in his interview with Kawikami that he fully expects to stay in GS. Not like an 'I hope so' type of thing but like a 'we've already basically all worked out the details' type of thing.

Lebro v. Wade (Spottie), Wednesday, 12 April 2017 22:34 (one year ago) Permalink

Well he already was a warrior when he was playing against them in the playoffs so I buy it

Isaiah Thomas and Rudy Gobert belong together... the yin and yang...

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 14 April 2017 04:12 (one year ago) Permalink

It won't happen because the Jazz don't have leverage but it would make so much sense

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 14 April 2017 04:16 (one year ago) Permalink

New York has missed the playoffs for four straight seasons and has lost at least 50 games in the past three, all with Jackson as president. In total, the Knicks are 80-166 in Jackson's three full seasons in New York.

this is true but also the chance that fultz is better than him (assuming that's who you're getting) is still not big enough to take on the risk that he's worse

unless indy is willing to take pennies on the dollar

lag∞n, Friday, 28 April 2017 17:20 (one year ago) Permalink

well all it takes is one team to seriously bid against the lakers for the lakers to consider making an insane offer

that's basically happened w/ melo and the knicks. they were afraid the nets were gonna get him so instead of waiting for him to hit FA they traded their entire team.

J0rdan S., Friday, 28 April 2017 18:07 (one year ago) Permalink

injecting magic into the mix makes this more volatile than it prob shd be, tho hes been giving off vibes that hes already got paul in pocket, may be why he was hired in the first place

tho that wld leave their front court pretty think and obvs george wants to win

lag∞n, Friday, 28 April 2017 18:15 (one year ago) Permalink

does he want to win more than he wants to go to the lakers, can the lakers convince him theyre ready to win, can they get some other dudes, will their young guys ever do anything, who know

nuggets will win the nba offseason

why would the spurs do this

Spottie, Monday, 16 October 2017 19:02 (one year ago) Permalink

get him on a cheaper per year deal thats more in line w his value, makes him tradable?

lag∞n, Monday, 16 October 2017 19:04 (one year ago) Permalink

he has a player option for $22m next year, maybe he declines it and leaves and the spurs get nothing in return, or maybe he takes it and leaves the year after/has very little trade value cause hes on the last year of his deal, if they cld get him for $15 a year/4 years thats maybe the best proposition for them, tho i have no idea if he has any interest for signing for that kind of money

lag∞n, Monday, 16 October 2017 19:08 (one year ago) Permalink

i think the spurs are better off retaining LMA than hoping to lure another big FA there. it's a dangerous game (as the heat and mavs can tell us).

but idk about locking up the LMA/pau frontcourt for the next 3 years. that's a solid regular season unit but i don't think the two of them can play at the same time in the playoffs.
