paolo is also 2 inches taller than randle, it’s not an insignificant margin. a lot of randle’s issues boil down to him being smaller than the great bigs in the league. paolo doesn’t have the same issue. i think it’s fair to say that his offensive game needs to keep evolving to the point where he can score more efficiently but i’m more so on the side of buying that there aren’t that many guys at his size who can facilitate offense off the dribble, and that his stats at his usage at his age portend really good things

hali situation is bizarre, shoutout contract year suggs, luka james you are seen you are valued

also echoes what i believe spottie posted recently about booker being under the radar bad so far

putting the small sample size aspect aside, hali's shot has always been weird and slow and i wonder if teams are playing him in ways that make his shooting more uncomfortable & whether his jumper can handle that in the same way as guys with truer form

books not playing up to his standard but 43/33/88 over 15 games isnt quite awful, could just be variance, maybe having trouble adjusting to buds offense hes taking 1.5 more threes than last year but bud prob wants more than that, wonder if this is the first coach thats asking him to work within a system rather than building the system around him

jalen green went on a sick run at the end of last year that has everyone going what if only problem is he was shooting like 45% on eight pullup threes a game, just blatantly not repeatable

fg% by distance for him:

25-29 feet

23-24: 152-408 (37.3%)
24-25: 27-86 (33.3%)

30-34 feet

23-24: 16-37 (43.2%)
24-25: 0-5 (0.0%)

so the long range shooting is predictably coming back down to earth for him. feel like that effects his whole game, aside from just missing the shots if defenders are okay with sagging off him when he has the ball up there then it's gotta be more difficult for him to get his whole game really clicking
