yeah from what i understand it’s precisely because he proved during preseason that he belongs in the league, that they have to cut him. if they didn’t think another team was gonna scoop him up they’d have more options, e.g. put him on a two-way or something. So even if they cut him he’ll land somewhere (saw Denver named as a possibility)
