i think the warriors are going to look a lot different next year

i'm taking the under on trades involving trae, dejounte, garland, mitchell, KAT, butler etc i think teams have sky high asking prices for players whose contracts make them questionable as longterm assets

where is all the demand to trade a bunch of assets for a PG coming from, this has yet to be adequately explained

yeah itd prob have to be more of a their teams are ready to move on type situation for some guys

garland to spurs has potential to be a more legit trade that makes sense for both teams

tho might require a third team in the mix idk

dejountes on a p reasonable contract imo, and i cant imagine cavs will keep both mitchell and garland.

all reports are pointing towards cleveland keeping mitchell so yeah they kinda have to move garland, pretty bad timing tho since he had such a bad season, could see them waiting and hoping he bounces back to start the season

the outline of a deal that makes sense is something like keldon+draft picks (2 1rps?) and salary filler (zach collins?) for darius. i think they could get him for far less than what theyd need for trae and i think he'd give you like 85% of what trae can. but its still an awkward defensive fit.

i kinda think dejounte would be perfect back on the spurs but i dont think atl would be willing to help the spurs unless they got at least two of their picks back.

garland is a good defender, i like him more than trae, injury history is troubling tho

i would love to be pleasantly surprised but every team is asking for a pick haul for their under contract assets and i just don't think any of these guys actually warrant that. dejounte murray was on a great contract at the deadline and the hawks couldn't find a deal they liked.

The stuff I've seen about Klay is that he's 50/50 about staying (and he might be prioritizing the length of whatever new deal over total money). Also, that even if he leaves, that might not alleviate the cap crunch, because of various cap arcana.

this is right, for one my hunch is that the media always wishcasts more trades than actually happen (because it's easy and fun) and second there's no one out there who's actually worth selling the farm for. my guess would be this summer is pretty quiet on player movement and the following summer is insane as some of the unsuccessful second apron teams start blowing things up.
