i'd say that it's prob for the best except for the whole five 50 win seasons in 35 years thing

yeah i'm not heartbroken, in the apron era it seemed pretty ominous to have ownership that could barely buy the team to begin with

also, i think they did have a positive impact on the team but with connoley and finch in place, i feel like the org is in a much better place no matter who owns it. those two have among the least warm seats as anyone in the league right now.

there's been stories about how these guys didn't have the money for a while now so taylor is probably telling the truth but i also like this nate duncan quasi conspiracy that taylor is jumping thru a loophole to resell the team for even more money (i guess both can be true)

Where there's smoke, there's fire. But also, if Taylor can get out of this deal with Lore it's probably good business (if not necessarily fair business) since the team is worth a lot more than the purchase price they agreed on 2 years ago.

and the fact that that nba affiliated fund got in on the deal makes it seem like the league was trying to push it over the finish line, but ol glenn taylor had other ideas lol

if that's accurate then basically you can say that anthony edwards has already added somewhere between $500m-$1bn dollars in value to the team bcuz beyond just a general creep up in team valuations i'm not sure what would be more appealing about the wolves now than 2 years ago

that kinda stuff puts into relief just how underpaid the lebrons of the world are

he "sold" the wolves for $1.5b, the hornets just went for $3b it's prob fair to assume that he could get a lot more for the wolves now if only bcuz of the valuation bubble

it is a fair assumption tbf but also who knows

seems like were getting close to the ceiling of what extremely rich guys are willing and capable of paying for them as evidenced by private equity buying chunks, which is prob not great for system that depends on the owners viewing them as collectables that can always be flipped later rather than businesses, but theres prob a lil more left to be squeezed out of the bubble

i personally wouldnt pay more than like $300m for an nba team, its just not that important to me
