But I would have liked something bold. A trade of Deandre Ayton, for starters. Although his play has spiked for the better in the past month, his first months in Portland were defined by tardiness and tantrums according to team sources. And there has been an eerie resemblance to Hassan Whiteside, the former Blazers’ center whose statistics looked nice, but had little to no impact on a game. The quicker the Blazers can move off Ayton, the sooner I will believe this franchise is headed in the right direction.

it would be pretty drastic for a #1 overall pick to not get a contract while still under age 30 and uninjured. not saying you're wrong, though.

i mean somebody will employ him in the nba if he wants but the dude is not a real starting 5 for a team that wants to do anything real

anthony bennett was out of the league in four years, be a long time before anyone tops that

itd almost have to be due to injury or some non basketball event but bennett just did it by sucking

could see him getting a much smaller shorter contract next time, a prove it type deal, and being even less inspired because of it causing him to wash out of the league totally, maybe continue on minimum deals for a couple years, smth like like that

i dont know any of the cap rules other than "Bird Rights" which is that you can go over cap to re-up a guy whos already on the team. and if thats not right then i dont know that one either.
