think everyone kinda gave up on the cavs after they flamed out of the playoffs last year then started this year slow and there was talk of mitchell getting traded but theyre good now

yea tillman is a true "guard 1-5" guy, not too many of those

there's obv only so much they can pull off but going into the playoffs w/ no real contingency plan beyond kornet for zinger/horford injuries would be malpractice

seems like it should allow them to go big all they want in various configurations too which is nice

so the spurs are playing in miami tonight & this morning they did a shootaround at a hebrew school on miami beach where my brother is the athletic director. when they started practice pop told my brother that he should go get the varsity basketball players out of class to come watch the spurs shoot but word eventually got out what was happening and it triggered a bit of wemby pandemonium, so pop basically just threw the doors open and let in whoever wanted to come watch. good guy.

something I love in basketball is when a dude is wide open from 3 and the ballcarrier spots him and whips in the pass way too hot, causing the open man to leap up, grab the ball, and like slingshot it to another dude because the ball was thrown in too hard

odd trade cant imagine hield playing too many minutes with maxey due to defensive issues, the starting five that was causing indy to have the best offense and the worst defense included a backcourt of hali and hield, and maxey is going to play 40+ mins a night in the offs, tho having one of the best shooters in the league is just nice i guess

and they didnt give up much so yeah why not, btw its wild that hield who as mentioned is one of the best shooters in the game can get up a lot of shots of all type and can handle the ball is not better at basketball

yeah i didn't really get it for either side but saw that hield is expiring, so indy just getting some picks out of him i guess. they're rightfully playing the long game even if it's still a feel good season
