Grayson Allen big game

infinite wiggles (Spottie), Wednesday, 17 January 2024 04:44 (two years ago)

paul george and james harden both look great as like… not the second or third best player on the team but somewhere in between. or maybe it changes by possession. but it’s like they both have 25% less to do and w/ kawhi playing well it looks good

slob wizard (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 17 January 2024 05:17 (two years ago)

very good game rn

Clay, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 05:20 (two years ago)

neither shai or chet are having particularly good games and yet they’re only down 1

keep seeing kawhi do insane stuff on defense

slob wizard (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 17 January 2024 05:24 (two years ago)

Kawhi basically looks like his old self the question always can be sustain it for ~60 more games

infinite wiggles (Spottie), Wednesday, 17 January 2024 05:25 (two years ago)

I never thought this clippers group would put it together in the slightest so color me impressed

Clay, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 05:26 (two years ago)

they need to find a real big man imo… zubac, thiess, plumlee is not gonna get it done. but the rest of the roster is believable to me

slob wizard (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 17 January 2024 05:29 (two years ago)

PG was awesome tonight damn

slob wizard (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 17 January 2024 05:29 (two years ago)

yeah what’s up Paul George

Clay, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 05:30 (two years ago)

I actually think that’s a pretty good big rotation escpecially for how much money they have committed to their starts. All those guys can do different things. Maybe they could try to get a big that could spread the floor for certain matchups but it’s not really necessary when the big three are on the court

infinite wiggles (Spottie), Wednesday, 17 January 2024 05:33 (two years ago)

*stars

infinite wiggles (Spottie), Wednesday, 17 January 2024 05:33 (two years ago)

easy to get excited about okc’s season but young teams melt down against veteran pressure just a truth in the business of hoops

Clay, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 05:33 (two years ago)

Yah b2b la losses.

infinite wiggles (Spottie), Wednesday, 17 January 2024 05:34 (two years ago)

add him to my list from earlier

slob wizard (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 17 January 2024 06:06 (two years ago)

theoretically theis can hit 3s, he should do it more imo

Humanitarian Pause (Tracer Hand), Wednesday, 17 January 2024 11:28 (two years ago)

14 PPG on 50/48/91% shooting

he should shoot more

ooohh

truly humbled underdog (k3vin k.), Wednesday, 17 January 2024 19:33 (two years ago)

love to see the top of the eastern conference beefing up

truly humbled underdog (k3vin k.), Wednesday, 17 January 2024 19:33 (two years ago)

two firsts + a very shitty first and siakam will resign seems pretty reasonable

Indiana is sending two 2024 first-rounders and a 2026 first to the Raptors, sources said. New Orleans sends a second-round pick to Indiana. https://t.co/xxaMY5dETc

— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) January 17, 2024

Pascal Siakam is excited about the deal to the Pacers and expected to be eager to work out a new contract with the franchise this summer, sources tell ESPN. Siakam can be a free agent in July. https://t.co/gFJGXwHJCU

lag∞n, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 19:34 (two years ago)

bruce browns deal was designed to be traded 2 years @$45m second year team option, and they did trade it, dealing nugs bench collateral damage

lag∞n, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 19:40 (two years ago)

two firsts + a very shitty first and siakam will resign seems pretty reasonable

this years first likely going to be in the bottom half too now that i think about it, and other pick is only two years out and indys a good young team

lag∞n, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 19:41 (two years ago)

yeah that’s a no-brainer for indiana

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 19:44 (two years ago)

they needed a 4 a second creator and defense, got it all

lag∞n, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 19:51 (two years ago)

got damn hate to see brucie B get moved like that. toronto is a cool city though, and he is welcome to come back to denver after his contract is up lol

truly humbled underdog (k3vin k.), Wednesday, 17 January 2024 20:01 (two years ago)

this is a good trade I approve

Clay, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 20:17 (two years ago)

haralabob not a fan

Not a fan of this deal for Indy at all, haven't read the specifics of the 1st round picks and how protected they are but they gave up a lot for a player they have to pay a max for and aren't getting a lot back in return imo. https://t.co/uxfPbFsxL9

— Haralabos Voulgaris (@haralabob) January 17, 2024

To add a little more color its not that Siakam is a bad player, its just what else could you get if you were willing to give up 3 1sts + Bruce Brown on a decent contract?

slob wizard (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 17 January 2024 20:28 (two years ago)

haven't read the specifics of the 1st round picks and how protected

very serious opinions

lag∞n, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 20:40 (two years ago)

also bruce brown at $22 is not reasonable

lag∞n, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 20:41 (two years ago)

decent rather

lag∞n, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 20:41 (two years ago)

the combo of giving up assets plus the extension is a big bet but i'm of the opinion he fits there pretty nicely and will look a lot better playing w/ a great true PG. but there are ppl who think siakam isn't all that good just overall

slob wizard (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 17 January 2024 20:42 (two years ago)

you'd think that bruce brown has a good deal of value on the trade market bcuz he fits on any playoff team & thus could maybe be moved for another first... but maybe not

slob wizard (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 17 January 2024 20:43 (two years ago)

yeah seems like a stretch maybe a bad first, he makes a lot which makes it more difficult too

lag∞n, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 20:48 (two years ago)

indy gave up 3 1st but keep in mind this is one of them, basically guaranteed to be bottom 10 likely bottom 5

The worst first-round pick between the Clippers, Thunder Jazz, and Rockets in 2024.

and their own pick this year which barring major injuries will not be in the lottery

lag∞n, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 20:53 (two years ago)

the fact that he was included in this trade must indicate that his value prob is less than i think bcuz as long as you can match the salary cap wise you'd only be paying what like $10m or less for a versatile wing we just saw play a pivotal role on a finals team. idk why every contending team wouldn't be dangling at least some kinda first for him but tbh his career suggests teams just don't like him that much for whatever reason

slob wizard (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 17 January 2024 20:54 (two years ago)

or maybe the two firsts are considered lower value and brown is considered a higher value acquisition idk

slob wizard (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 17 January 2024 20:54 (two years ago)

i think he was just filler in this trade considering torontos not really contending, thats why indy signed him to that deal in the first place, im sure any contender would be happy to have him but not sure how much theyre willing to pay, could see philly looking at him considering they have the contracts to make a deal easy and they have a shitty first like the one indy traded

lag∞n, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 21:05 (two years ago)

tho maybe toronto wants to hold onto him to make a big trade of their own

lag∞n, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 21:06 (two years ago)

He does seems to fit their plan of finding guys who can contribute to next year's Raptors, but won't surprise me if they deal him.

he was perfect last year as a 6th/7th man, problem is he’s now being paid as a 4th/5th guy, which on the right team (ascending without real expectations) makes a lot of sense, but for a contender looking for a short term upgrade might be tougher

truly humbled underdog (k3vin k.), Wednesday, 17 January 2024 21:12 (two years ago)

it's only a 1 year deal tho, i think most teams could figure it out... it makes more sense if toronto sees him as a brogdon type addition to the trade who can be flipped again

slob wizard (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 17 January 2024 21:20 (two years ago)

the hard part is most contenders either dont have spare matching contracts or dont have a ton of picks to splash around

lag∞n, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 21:25 (two years ago)

bob has really lost his fastball on nba lol

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 21:30 (two years ago)

not a big siakam guy myself but the combination of player type, star opportunity for a small market, and cost is pretty much spot on

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 21:31 (two years ago)

siakam trade might be a kicking the can down the road type thing for the raptors cause theyve said they want players but took a picks heavy deal so they might be planning on turning around at trading brown + picks for a player when the opportunity presents itself

lag∞n, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 21:32 (two years ago)

siakam is going to get so many dunks in indy, hes going from one of the most clogged up teams to prob the most free flowing, i think hes gonna play real good there, plus his defense will really help, indy didnt have a starting quality pf now they have a very good one

lag∞n, Wednesday, 17 January 2024 21:37 (two years ago)

Curious to see how different Siakam looks in Carlisle's offense, could tap into something that wasn't an option in TOR. Can't wait to see this team on the floor; I guess the Hali/Siakam/Turner/Nesmith starting 5 is pretty locked in (and now features 3 plus defenders), maybe Benn joins them by playoff time.

Pacers tiptoeing into the two-star strata of EC teams like Philly/Celtics/Heat/Bucks?
