i would dispute this

no games today then only IST games mon tues thurs sat then no games sun again, guess those no game suns are to avoid the ist teams playing back to backs, wed and fri have many normal games, which i guess they just scheduled once they found out who was in the knockout rounds

yeah weird scheduling since they cant do it ahead of time

they prob have to tell the arenas ahead of time which days there will be games so they can book other events, so the non-IST teams still end up with the IST-hedged schedule

yeah you would need one of the quarter final days mon or tues open at all arenas and then wed and fri open at a bunch of them for the normal games

was curious how many nba/nhl arenas there still are and its only 10

staples center has been nba/nba/nhl which must be the biggest scheduling bottleneck

wouldve thought it was more do nhl teams just have their own places now seems excessive they dont even have a ball

mostly theres less city overlap than you'd think but a couple cities the nhl team has their own place

6 non-toronto canada teams, columbus, vegas, nashville, raleigh, anaheim, long island, newark, buffalo, tampa, seattle...

clearly the nba should expand to all of these

interesting how theres three ny metro area teams but only one of them is from the city

you dont get that secondary population centers in metro areas situation in other sports too much, like even when the warriors were in oakland they didnt claim it, tho the raiders did, nhl has jersey long island anaheim

columbus only has hockey even tho its bigger than cincinnati which has football and baseball, difference is columbus is a newer growing city where the cleveland is shrinking and cini is pretty stable, youd think columbus will get more teams eventually

cannot help but hear that name in my grandmothers olde timey despite having lived in california for almost all of her adult life boston accent, they were all about the sharks when they first got there, it was a big deal for san jose

yeah, given the jump from udonis last season to lebron this season, i bet this is the first season for a few ilhers being older than all the current nba players.

lebron could probably stay on a roster until he’s 50 if he wanted to. some franchise would pay him just to be around and roll him out for like 10 mins a game vs back ups to let him hit some fadeaway post jumpers

he can do whatever he wants. personally i hope he opens up a dunking booth where ppl can pay to take a charge against lebron dunking on you but you fall into a big pool of water after he plows you
