i thought in the 4th quarter the suns looked like a team with two real NBA players (KD and nurkic) surrounded by a bunch of minimum contract guys

Yah pretty hard to win without your best and third best player when your team is all new to the team nba randoms

unfortunate to have your guys out at the start of the season

early season observation: so far the nuggets are the best team and the celtics are the second best team

bucks are going to have to "figure out" the perimeter defense, the thing people thought was going to be a problem is in fact a problem

maybe they can find a 2 who can play defense and hit a wide open 3, they dont really need more than that considering they have dame and giannis, both beasley and pat c can do more on offense but cant really defend, shameful for pat considering hes got great size and athleticism

too bad they traded away rock solid starter grayson allen

re: bucks, it's probably reasonable to ask if they downgraded their coaching, at least for regular season purposes.

yeah bringing a rookie coach into a contender is always dicey

also was thinking bucks have played a giannis centric game his whole career, bringing in dame is a big change

yeah it's definitely a few things, new coach new superstar, also middleton is now a shell of himself instead of a third option.

they could figure it out but it doesn't feel solid when you look at who's playing up and down their rotation.

he said it was "hardcore basketball heaven" said they made it really tight and steep not broken up by a bunch of weird suite levels going for a college basketball style fans on top of the court feeling, maybe he suckered me but i was like this guy sounds like he actually cares about the experience of watching live basketball

playing ad 48mins (ot) seems pretty bad

seems way too early to panic about the Bucks but yea it does concern me that a team with two great defensive players is giving up these quick 20-4 type runs in every game so far. at the game I went to it looked like they were giving up way too many fast breaks due to turnovers which seemed to be a result of players not being where they were supposed to be. also they're not switching when they're supposed to, seemed easy to get a guy open for 3 with a little razzle dazzle, plus Capela kept getting behind the entire defense somehow. so right now I think it does kinda come down to coaching, though I have faith he's gonna figure it out sooner or later

yeah obvs you have to give it time, there are things to be worried about but you cant really tell to what extent theyre really a problem yet

if i was a fan of the bucks i'd have a hard time worrying too much about how the team was playing 4 games into a season w/ a new coach & new roster

that said defense feels pretty scheme oriented in the NBA these days & the bucks in particular have a pretty complicated relationship w/ that concept. it's not a stretch to say that bud was fired for being too rigid defensively & after the jrue/dame trade the ability for the new coach to be much better than bud at defensive scheming is even more paramount now than it was the day after they got eliminated. does he have it in his bag?
