i like lively he’s obv going to be a complete menace on the defensive end. but my god the mavs are absolutely obsessed with centers what is their deal

hollinger was a big fan of lively's defense both as a rim protector and switch guy

cubes is an alpha and respects the height-based status hierarchy

sometimes i think about how the mavs made the west finals by essentially playing small forwards at center & then think about everything they’ve done after and wonder if i was part of some sort of mass public hallucination

i mean when you can get a center that can't score or rebound you gotta do it

howard can shoot but that’s it, really an atrocious rebounder for his side, incredibly slow and non-focused on defense

duke is one of the only teams i saw like 5+ times this year, i came away really impressed by lively. he seems like a much better athlete than a lot of the bigs that have come out of there lately
