Sometimes there are plays where there is no clearly right interpretation of the rules and that can legit be called either way. It makes perfect sense to me that this was one of them and the L2M evaluation just endorsed the way it went down in real time.

I just watched it again and for the first time I noticed Tatum was crashing the boards from the other side... had it bounced that way he would have put it back

Bad slowdown offense by Boston in the last 3 minutes, not good, but quite a few little putbacks and layups that just happened to roll out. Also Robinson with a couple of absolutely wide open threes that he missed, could have won it

they are extremely devoted to the slow down offense its their favorite

feel like shot clock management is a big remaining moneyball frontier almost every team is bad at it

one thing thats a no brainer is to get the ball into the front court fast and start running offense, yet teams just wander up the court all the time

and at some point it does make sense to start playing slow if youre ahead but i dont think its at the beginning of the fourth quarter (celtics style)

depends how far ahead you are but yeah start of 4th quarter i'd want to be like 15 ahead

i think itd have to be like 25 to start at the beginning of the 4th, verging on garbage time
