to me there is a more overarching storyline about the heat and celtics being in back to back barn burning 7 game ECFs with multiple classic games between them that with time will transcend discussions about any particular player’s legacy. it fits quite neatly into how NBA history is typically marked with these little mini eras of playoff rivalries

if youre bobbling the ball while picking it up generally both your hands are trying to pick the ball up but there one of jimmys hands wants to keep dribbling

one other thing is this game played out exactly like game 7 last year w/ boston being the better team, getting up double digits with 3-4 mins left, heat throwing funky defenses at them in complete desperation, boston missing like 10 straight shots & the heat pushing the game until the final buzzer. maybe it doesn’t play that way in boston if the game ends up in a similar position but the heat’s bare minimum goal has basically gotta be to have the lead be within like 6-8 points w/ a few mins left and see if you can finally steal it in the end

between robinson missing those two threes, tatum missing several open looks, jaylen brown missing an an and 1 FT, butler getting the and 1 on horford, smart missing one FT, jimmy maybe double dribbling, jimmy’s feet being behind the line, the refs adding time back on the clock, jimmy making three FTs, smart taking the shot for boston, the ball popping in and out just so that it falls right into white’s hands and white making the shot there were like 10 diff sliding doors moments in the final 60 seconds where like any diff outcome at any point changes the entire trajectory of the rest of the game
