Knicks still going right at the Heat's best defenders. Randle has posted up both Bam and Butler. On that last possession, Brunson had Vincent on him and Barrett, guarded by Butler, came over to set the screen, which brought Butler into the action.

watching this game thinking about is rj barrett consensus 3rd pick in the 2019 nba draft better than the 4th pick widely considered to be a reach deandre hunter, idk theyre both kinda bad

i think barrett at least has NBA skills i’m not really sure what hunter does out there really. but yeah i’d rather not have either on my team

barrett def does more hes more involved in the game but im not sure the things he does are actually good

i gotta say the normalization of foul calls when the offensive player is clearly the one initiating contact on a drive is kinda crazy. there’s like 8 fouls in every NBA game where i’m like “ok all the defender did there was backpedal & the offensive player drove his shoulder into him and now it’s foul shots”

the theory of barrett was that he would like, try really hard and get better. i do think he tries but he hasn't really gotten better.

randle playing pretty well, feinting off his tendency to stop the ball and actually going downhill. i imagine the defense will stop falling for his slow fakes, but for now it is working

this is the first game these playoffs where the heat have just kinda bungled the end. bam fouled brunson trying to help, butler went for an impossible block and gave up an uncontested put back dunk then went down the next possession and fouled barrett for no reason off a miss. bam fouled barrett on help, martin missed a wide open robinson, butler missed a FT etc

these uniforms arent really contrasting enough

this one may not be particularly competitive either

the road team should not be wearing jerseys that match the dominant color of the home team’s floor. this feels like a pretty easy rule to enforce…
