These two teams going to OT in 2023 in a fight for each of their playin spots is a seriously sad outcome to the 2018 draft

are the mavs the weirdest team overall like top to bottom it’s a total freak show

their collapse is like a simultaneous indictment of trying to remake your team with 20 games left in the season, making an extreme sacrifice of D/size for O, and giving up depth for stars. None of these high risk strategies will inevitably ruin you on their own but woe to the team that tries to do all 3 at once

(esp when that star is kyrie, even when he's not up to kyrie shenanigans he never seems to influence winning much)

seems right, theyve always kinda of done this but teams are making their shots so maybe adjust idk. theres a lot of dubs storylines this year.

Watching Cuban, Kidd and the Mavs FO sell out in order to bring Kyrie on board, then instantly exploding into tiny fragments has been the greatest satisfaction of the regular season. By far.

still seems mostly likely hell resign with dallas which wld be funny in its own way

it's a total lose-lose for dallas. they let him walk, they gave up draft capital and iportant role players for nothing. they re-sign him, theyre doomed to underperform. it's perfect.
