this is my own pop psych bullshit but I think D'lo will benefit from being someplace where there's a huge presence like Lebron and he doesn't have ambitions of being "the guy"...KAT is too weird and Ant is too young for him to really defer

on its face getting three real players for westbrook and a pick is a nice trade, but this pick is a ticking time bomb & you have to imagine the plan here is to give russell a big deal this offseason. best of luck!

it acknowledged he didn't have much value, and they got a guy who might help them more in the playoffs, or might not. but they needed to get him off the roster so that ant, KAT and gobert can start to figure it out together
