kicking the can down the road seems weird, you’re not gonna win the whole thing this year and the price well may drop come summer, but hope springs etc xp

the nets probably couldn’t beat the celtics or bucks but i think it’s totally reasonable for them to see how the playoffs go. who knows how the match ups break, who gets hurt etc. this is a different situation than last year where they were in the play in for the final 3 months of the season or whatever. they were pushing for first in the east this year before KD got hurt

the mavs have this weird obsession w/ pairing luka w/ a big name center going back to the zinger trade

i'd rather trade for john collins than ayton if i was them

the thing that is crazy is that i feel like they were shown the blueprint last year... their resources should go into other ball handlers and 3 and D wings. they can go cheap at center imo bcuz the burden on that player w/in the luka system is very small & he is the kinda player who makes just about any big look good. spread the floor on offense, switch everything on defense. it's obviously not just that simple but that should be the foundation of how they build their team

and yet they were rumored to be a gobert suitor. they're now apparently an ayton suitor. and the two moves they made this offseason were to get centers. i think wood made sense for them bcuz he has a diff offensive dimension but the javale signing is an F- at this point. they need to be trading for wings/guards and then finding the robert williams, al horford and grant williams of the world later in the draft or on low risk FA deals/trades
