here’s an outside-the-box submission. I present the Utah Jazz.

Hear me out before you start with all the (accurate) commentary about how Salt Lake City isn’t exactly a popular destination for NBA stars.

The Jazz’s front office is now run by Danny Ainge, the former Celtics executive who brought Irving from Cleveland to Boston via trade in the summer of 2017 and is known to still think very highly of his game. I don’t know what a trade package to bring Irving to Utah might look like – it’s very early here, folks — but can confidently state that Ainge doesn’t have the same sorts of reservations about Irving as many others.

yeah I’m definitely all for trading these types to loser franchises in flyover country but I’m not sure why the jazz would want him
