you never like to point the finger at one guy but the fact that luka garza was out there guarding jokic...i saw the box score and he had a good scoring game, but -16 in 21 minutes is pretty rough

just finished rewatching the game, gobert is dead in the water guarding jokic and always has been, and the wolves tried naz reid on him with gobert on gordon for much of the first half (similar to philly’s strategy of putting tucker on jokic and embiid on gordon). the nuggets also got at least half of their points in the first half on transition which of course obviates any sort of defensive scheme they might have wanted to try. the nuggets are just kind of a nightmare matchup for the wolves

jokic had 18-10-10 at the half by the way, the 6th triple double at halftime since 1996, jokic has 2 of them

hes at the point now where its more noteworthy when he doesnt have a good game, statistically

Yeah I actually love Naz, he's really been great at times this year but uh defensive stopper is not exactly how I'd describe him
