yeah bron is older than me and i was in college when social media started, he didnt grow up with it

also worth mentioning that LeBron was pretty famous even in high school when he was first anointed the heir to Jordan's throne. also got married young, had kids young, never really got to live the typical hooper life. I think there's sort of a Michael Jackson thing going on with him. obviously he has no problem being the man and his career stats speak for themselves but I also feel like he really just wanted to be on a normal championship team full of guys he could trust, hard to forget during those GSW finals how visibly frustrated he was when his teammates just kept passing the ball back to him

raps gonna get a haul for him type of guy everyone wants

mb should be thinking about trading siakim instead tho just cause hes older, on the other hand hes not old and hes better so raps are prob thinking about more of "a reset" than a rebuild here which is fair if they think they can pull it off

they have a bunch of talent and a good coach why arent they winning is the thing

they dont have enough playmaking bench is bad theyre trying to run everything through barnes which is way too much for him right now fred has been bad

they had a crazy late season run last year and were still only +2 so its not like they were great

the vibes are bad too tho when ive watched them theyve missed tons of defensive rotations just not playing like a team of all 6-8 guys with a great coach should be

seems like this group lost their soul a bit once they traded lowry

ultimately theres just not enough 6-8 guys with guard skills to build whole team youre gonna just need some guards

like the celtics have two big wings with guard skills and they still have guards

the suns going from 6 usable players to 5 would be an interesting strategy. i think they should try it out

fred has been on a hot streak recently, i doubt he is like done at 28.

The raptors thing is to play the most aggressive defense in the nba on every possession, and to have a small rotation doing it. I think it wore them down.

they’re one of those teams that legitimately has half an NBA roster. you look at their box scores and there’s always two guys who shouldn’t be getting minutes and three other guys who never play and who you’ve never heard of. they get a lot of credit for developing their entire starting line up but they have not done the same with the bench

i think we've also learned you can't build an NBA team that has 1 pg and 1 center

in retrospect that playoff series vs philly prob should've been a wake up call. philly almost choked it away but they manhandled the raptors for much of that series and that was not a particularly good philly team. it's prob a bad match up for them w/ embiid and all but van vleet was bad in that series, he looked small and overwhelmed. siakam is a good player but he's not putting you on his back and dragging you to the ECF.

yeah, it seems like they were waiting for one of their 6'8" chimera guys to turn into something really special and it hasn't happened. siakam is maybe the least exciting all-nba caliber player of his time.

you really cant just draft based on long arms alone

for a second it rly felt like toronto had figured something out, wonder if okc's all 6'11"+ lineups will suffer a similar fate, but i think sga kind of saves them there
