there was also a play I don’t think I’ve seen before, a sixers guy (maxey maybe) got fouled on a made 3, they reviewed it and called a flagrant because the nuggets player didn’t allow him to land…so he gets the and-1 and a free throw for the flagrant, but he only has to make one of two for one point, he can’t make both because (according to the broadcast) you “can’t have more than 4 points in a play”? he ended up missing them both lol

also worth mentioning that LeBron was pretty famous even in high school when he was first anointed the heir to Jordan's throne. also got married young, had kids young, never really got to live the typical hooper life. I think there's sort of a Michael Jackson thing going on with him. obviously he has no problem being the man and his career stats speak for themselves but I also feel like he really just wanted to be on a normal championship team full of guys he could trust, hard to forget during those GSW finals how visibly frustrated he was when his teammates just kept passing the ball back to him
