remember when he missed the first 25 threes of his career

i always liked grant as a player but he's definitely hitting the high end of his projection, it's a great development story

that and 1 stat is like finally my hopes and dreams for those guys coming true. also shows how long it takes most guys to develop nba strength.

yeah its not easy cause you dont want to bulk up too much and hurt your athleticism you gotta really do it right

funny a few years ago ainges drafting record was looking pretty hit or miss but now with grant marcus and rob all maxing out its looking very nice, and the jays have maxed out too

marcus maybe left a little on the scoring table idk but still he did good

when grant started “attacking closeouts” or whatever it’s called when you shot-fake guys into jumping past you and then drive to the hoop in the resulting space i was like okay, that’s smart, throw em off balance, and then he kept doing it and i was like hmm grant this is not your game, we have guys who can drive, you’re there to screen and knock down threes, but now he’s STILL doing it and you know what dammit if he isn’t actually getting to the hoop more often than not and now i don’t know what to think

he loves it he loves to drive now its his new thing

and if can do it effectively more power to him getting to the cup and kissing it softly off the glass is one of the best things in the game of basketball second only maybe to throwing down a thunderous slam

nice play just now to ice the nets game--they beat the press and settle down, smart slow plays a pick and roll with tatum who immediately hits derrick white for the corner three. everyone was really on the same page.

one of those not that well played but fun games both teams playing grimy

yeah, that stretch where the celtics second unit made some moves was a lot of fun

yeah theyre worse the more time off they have lol maybe theyre getting up to no good on off days

lol i would think that with some other teams but these guys are like the least partying group i can think of! not hating, i'm sure they enjoy a nice time but i don't get the sense that anyone on this team rages.

it's definitely better against the hornets, god it's easy to score at the rim against these guys

it's also easy to get corner threes against them

they should try defending high percentage shots imo

i would like to see them get and resign poeltl, rob + him at center al mostly at the 4 would be very nice, poeltl might want to start tho hes a starting quality player but if he doesnt mind playing behind rob hed be a very nice long term piece, tho having a bunch of money committed to centers isnt really considered smart nbaing these day but i guess if the celtics dont mind paying the tax who cares

that game was like a defensive battle except if the teams werent actually playing that good d

seems like by now the league should have figured out dray's little handoff move where a guard curls around him and he screens just long enough for them to pop a shot off, but no

defending steph curry is hard

and klay too but steph is just extremely problematic in that action, and then youve got drays passing off the short roll to deal with too

like just doubling curry in this situation seems like the best bet since dray isnt a good finisher but then steph will just pass it to him rolling to the rim and instead of trying to force a layup if one isnt there he will just play the famous warriors 4 on 3 halfcourt fast break and pick you apart with his excellent passing

noticed marcus trying to do a crazy spin move under the pick with his arm shooting out at the end of the spin to contest which just seems hopeless to me but whatre you gonna do the warriors will make you try things

with klay since hes not much of a dribbler you prob just switch it and hope for the best, prob the best play for curry too especially with the celtics since they have very switchable big men, i mean you dont really want horf on an island with steph but youre picking your poison there anyway

al did a good job on steph on the final possession of regulation tho! steph did not get a good shot even tho he had plenty of time and did not need to take a three, prob wouldve been better to just attack off the dribble right away and then see what happened from there, instead he dribbled out the clock and took a very bad shot
