it has been pointed out that they gave siakam a lot of rope and it probably looked this bad at times but idk man barnes might just not be that type of player

idk feel like its a pretty common pattern for promising rookies to have disappointing 2nd years because they werent actually good as rookies just promising then their teams ask them to do more and theyre still not good, and in this case toronto is really letting him run the show which idk if its wise tbh, but he does need to learn to shoot

barnes would still be a good NBA player even if he never learned to shoot imo. he got overrated a bit last year, i personally never saw him having huge offensive upside and i still think he could be one of the better role players in the league or a really good number 2. somewhere between wiggins and jaylen brown. he also plays the most valuable position, there will always be roles for 6’ 9” athletic guys

mcw was the least efficient scorer in the league, scottie is inefficient, but not a complete disaster. it might help him if the raptors had more than two playable guards
