2022/23 NBA REGULAR SEASON THREAD "TANKING FOR WEMBANYAMA"

wolves showed some heart last night for once, ant really went off in the 4th quarter. really chippy, brooks and ja got kicked out.

they were playing a lot more pick and roll, and more of the "high wall" defense they played last year instead of the drop they've been mostly using. felt more coherent on both sides of the game.

i feel like they are going to find out that lo and behold all the haters were right and their 2 max big men are going to have to be staggered more.

though this may be good, so far they haven't figured out how the team should run with KAT alone, Rudy alone, or Rudy and KAT together, if this is an opportunity to figure out at least the Rudy alone part that would be progress.

so in reading the story i think the issue is basically that trey wanted to skip shootaround and just play in the game. i have a hard time believing anything useful happens at shootaround so this does feel like an episode of mcmillan exercising control, but also i don't really excuse trey and just hate the vibes of this team
