other two losses were overtime vs the cavs, just stay away from those two teams

he seems like a nice guy but i’m starting to think jb is not the sharpest tool in the shed
― Tracer Hand, Tuesday, November 22, 2022 7:52 AM (three hours ago)
all of these athletes and celebrities are basically cult members, completely in love with the idea of themselves as special, surrounding themselves with people who (for their own benefit) will reinforce that, it’s not a mindset that attracts the most curious people or demands any real introspection, this sort of thing is just a threat to the bottom line. which is why brown and the rest of the NBA players are loath to really criticize kyrie or support any sort of accountability: on some level of course they simply agree with what he’s saying, but on a more coldly economic level any holding of a player to account is a threat to their ability to make a lot of money.
obviously the specifics of the kyrie situation are a bit arbitrary and hypocritical coming from billionaire lizards like joe tsai, but it’s probably safe to not invest any moral energy in self-interested multimillionaire macho men either
― k3vin k., Tuesday, 22 November 2022 16:13 (three years ago)
i would prefer honestly to never have to think about the politics personal behavior and so forth of any celebrity ever again i know some people enjoy that sort of thing finding an actor to judge or whatever but its really just more sound and fury imho, kryie def crossed a line where he was promoting uncut anti semitism to his millions of followers and for that i resent him it would be preferable if he could just be a somewhat normal level of lame dude, im not even demanding shut up and dribble here gordon hayward can endorse trump if he wants or lebron can conspire with obama to undercut the labor movement idc just dont be a full on thought leader for abhorrent ideas
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 22 November 2022 16:22 (three years ago)
tho tbh if a celebrities actions are bizarre or funny im wiling to entertain them, kyrie being the messiest bitch in the nba then burning sage upon his return to boston garden was legitimately newsworthy
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 22 November 2022 16:52 (three years ago)
need less of this and more of carmelo's mystical orb
― ciderpress, Tuesday, 22 November 2022 17:41 (three years ago)
i didn't hallucinate that, right. its impossible to find on google now because a basketball is also an orb
― ciderpress, Tuesday, 22 November 2022 17:42 (three years ago)

― lag∞n, Tuesday, 22 November 2022 17:47 (three years ago)
oh weird maybe it was actually all in my head. or else i saw it somewhere else and somehow didn't share it here
― ciderpress, Tuesday, 22 November 2022 17:54 (three years ago)
hmm it might have been jr smith and not carmelo but it was one of the two. my investigation has dead ended at a link to a deleted tweet though
― ciderpress, Tuesday, 22 November 2022 18:06 (three years ago)
remember when jr threw the soup lol

tatum blocks luka off the backboard -> pure 3-pointer by brown in semi-transition. they are a handful on both ends.
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 24 November 2022 02:53 (three years ago)
that was a very satisfying sequence
― lag∞n, Thursday, 24 November 2022 02:54 (three years ago)
i am a horrible nitpicker since i've watched these guys entire careers, so sometimes i try to imagine being a fan of the other team and it does not seem fun to go against them
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 24 November 2022 02:57 (three years ago)
its true theyre all grown up

celtics go up 16 in the 1st, decide to not play for most of two quarters then go on a 35-4 run
― lag∞n, Saturday, 26 November 2022 03:11 (three years ago)
this homestand is real tasty--anything less than 5-1 would be disappointing
― call all destroyer, Saturday, 26 November 2022 03:52 (three years ago)
celtics much better at finishing games so far, prob has something to do with ditching a lot of the iso play

wtf are are the pacers doing in first quarters tho
― lag∞n, Saturday, 26 November 2022 15:57 (three years ago)
huh! pacers and lakers tables very strangexpost
― Tracer Hand, Saturday, 26 November 2022 15:57 (three years ago)
thinking about how part of the celtic mediocre defensive numbers is prob the fact that theyve gotten out to a bunch of big leads then coasted til the end when they put the clamps on if they need to, they did totally shut down the famous kings offense when they needed to last night, that and the okc game are the only ones where iirc they really flipped the switch on d, but it does seem like they can if they want to, and getting rob back should help with that too
― lag∞n, Saturday, 26 November 2022 16:02 (three years ago)
starters still playing too many minutes is really my only complaint, need to give the big 3 bench whites more minutes
― lag∞n, Saturday, 26 November 2022 16:03 (three years ago)
adding another center should happen too but thats not pressing
― lag∞n, Saturday, 26 November 2022 16:04 (three years ago)
playing fewer minutes could allow guys to try harder on d too, coasting most of the time is not the best from a habitual pov
― lag∞n, Saturday, 26 November 2022 16:06 (three years ago)
yeah agreed like the suns have the #2 offense and #4 defense but still have about the same net rating as the celtics, having a middle of the pack defensive rating is just circumstantial to the offense being an outlier
― ciderpress, Saturday, 26 November 2022 17:33 (three years ago)
doesnt really matter how you do it if the margin is big enough. they're not like one of those offense-only teams that sinks in the playoffs, those teams always have much smaller MOV than 7 points
― ciderpress, Saturday, 26 November 2022 17:36 (three years ago)
their defense has been better recently too, started off the season really bad
― lag∞n, Saturday, 26 November 2022 18:10 (three years ago)
last 10 #1 offense #4 defense
― lag∞n, Saturday, 26 November 2022 18:11 (three years ago)

from ice cr?m’s lips to joe isuzu’s ears: tatum resting tonight
― Tracer Hand, Sunday, 27 November 2022 23:07 (three years ago)
pretty creaky shit so far imo. not sure grant has a real role with this setup apart from hang out in the corner waiting for someone to pass him the ball. on the other hand it is entertaining to see if anybody on the wizards be able to stop jb taking it to the rim. so far signs point to “no”.
― Tracer Hand, Sunday, 27 November 2022 23:23 (three years ago)
Second unit looking sick as usual
― Tracer Hand, Sunday, 27 November 2022 23:30 (three years ago)
they didnt seem to miss tatum too much, too bad the bench couldnt close it out tho
― lag∞n, Monday, 28 November 2022 02:51 (three years ago)
lmao from the athletic
He has come a long way from the player Marcus Smart remembered when Brown first got to Boston and was trying to do it all.
“A little story: When Jaylen first got here, he used to go 1-on-5, 1-on-4, just throw up some bulls—,” Smart said. “We would look at him like ‘Jaylen, what are you doing?’ And his excuse to us — or his reasoning was, ‘When everyone is telling me to slow down, the defense hears that, so I’m going to speed up.’ And we were like, ‘No, no, no, Jaylen, that doesn’t make any sense.'”
― lag∞n, Monday, 28 November 2022 15:27 (three years ago)
“Smart be making up stories in his own head,” Brown said. “Don’t listen to Smart, man.”
― lag∞n, Monday, 28 November 2022 15:29 (three years ago)

― ciderpress, Monday, 28 November 2022 17:25 (three years ago)
Celtics should rest Brown and Tatum both.Guys can I just say, I know it was the Wizards, but Kornet was AMAZING last night. Looked like the second coming of Kevin McHale down there.I also think that Horford might have lost a step on defense. Not sure about that - it might be deliberate for him to be sagging, but he just doesn’t close out 3s.In general the defense was good but then again, how in the hell did the Washington Wizards score 121??
― Tracer Hand, Monday, 28 November 2022 17:43 (three years ago)
celtics offense has been so good that they can afford to coast on d is how i break it down to an extent
― lag∞n, Monday, 28 November 2022 17:44 (three years ago)
kornet has been great hes a skilled player but hes just so slow that a determined team could take advantage of him if they wanted to, but he should be able to soak up some regular season minutes at the least, as i said im in favor of him and the rest of the sullys getting more burn
― lag∞n, Monday, 28 November 2022 17:47 (three years ago)
it's funny that they're just using him as a giant roll man, my thought (and i don't think i was alone) was that they would have him popping and shooting threes a lot more. instead he just gets dunks.
― call all destroyer, Monday, 28 November 2022 19:04 (three years ago)
it doesnt seem like he wants to shoot threes even tho he can make them
― lag∞n, Monday, 28 November 2022 19:07 (three years ago)
down two starters celtics still put up a 45 point 1st quarter
