im open to this kyrie is bad at basketball argument, because i watched all of his games for two years

must overrated player of this generation IMO

yeah and its understandable cause he does amazing things but he just doesnt give a shit about "winning basketball"

in boston he even tried hard at defense for a while but he was just so bad at the fundamentals because hed never bothered to learn, constantly getting backdoor cut and whatnot

and thats not even getting into just giving up on playoff series cause it seems too hard

as we saw last year, as we saw his final year in boston, maybe happened other times idk

yeah i remember he was a pretty solid 1v1 defender for a while but the team scheme was where he got lost, not dissimilar to russ in that aspect. i guess you could say the same for both players on offense too... great at breaking down 1v1 defense and getting a shot but not much added in a team scheme, ie movement without the ball.

love his game hes so creative just doing all crazy angles and spins slithering around

prob relying a lil too much on tough floater range shots but if he can continue to hit them more power to him thats luka stuff

he seems very under the radar. thunder have some fun players

there was a stretch last year after he came back from his sprained ankle where he was putting in 30+ per night. he’s huge for a PG too

giddy is super talented but has a long way to go, got stripped by the celtics like five times in 10mins last night, he cant defend or shoot which is an untenable combo

yeah i think simmons had him in the top 40 of his trade value list which i thought was completely crazy. he’s a fun player to watch but if you can’t shoot and can’t defend there’s not really a role for you on a real NBA team nowadays

Giddey's shooting has been getting better this season.

Poku has been the biggest surprise as an OKC fan this year. He's suddenly looking like a pretty solid NBA player after a couple of years of adjusting. He's starting to shoot 3s decently and has 1.8 blocks per game.

Ousmane Dieng is down in G-League at the moment, but I reckon he has star potential.

I would love to read a really detailed article by, like, a kinesiologist about how SGA does what he does. Or watch an ESPN Sport Science or whatever.

He was the same way at Kentucky. Looks (relatively) slow and like he's not working hard, but usually gets to his spots with enough space to make shots.

It's pretty amazing if you watch it for very long.
