you could just start the backcourt eight count as soon as the ball is inbounded
― lag∞n, Sunday, 13 November 2022 17:07 (three years ago)
ah yeah that would make sense
― k3vin k., Sunday, 13 November 2022 17:42 (three years ago)
celtics finally played defense, for a quarter, good to know its still possible lol
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 15 November 2022 02:56 (three years ago)
hmm
Mazzulla said it was the players' idea to start pressuring high and for Tatum's late doubles on isos for Giddey and Shai in the second half. https://t.co/cW5iHU7Mrq— Jared Weiss (@JaredWeissNBA) November 15, 2022

team needs to get over the refereeing, lots of attitude to no good effectthat said, I too was unclear how Tatum caught a tech until they did a close up on the replay and it's pretty clear he says "fuck" which is apparently enough for a tech if you're nationally televised!

naw you can say fuck all you want the problem was the ref thought the whole thing was directed at her when it was obviously just tatum expressing frustration at himself

― lag∞n, Wednesday, 16 November 2022 18:28 (three years ago)
44 pts for hauser-kornet-pritchard last night, pretty good, bunch of rebounds too
― lag∞n, Thursday, 17 November 2022 13:46 (three years ago)
kornet 4 blocks, finally took a 3
― lag∞n, Thursday, 17 November 2022 13:48 (three years ago)
i saw on twitter that hes the 4th tallest player in the league, and the tallest american in the league
― lag∞n, Thursday, 17 November 2022 13:51 (three years ago)
celtics missing three of their top six guys still blowout a quality opponent on the road, good stuff
― lag∞n, Thursday, 17 November 2022 13:55 (three years ago)
healthy celts bucks ecf we need it
― im a beacon of light (Spottie), Thursday, 17 November 2022 15:49 (three years ago)
wouldn't be mad about it
― “Cheeky cheeky!” she trills, nearly demolishing a roadside post (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 17 November 2022 16:01 (three years ago)
yeah if theyre both healthy seems pretty inevitable they will clash in the offs
― lag∞n, Thursday, 17 November 2022 18:27 (three years ago)
prob the best offensive play of grants career
oh so we're getting Grant Williams fake handoffs into stepback 3's now huh pic.twitter.com/OPHK5lI8eI— Steve Jones Jr. (@stevejones20) November 17, 2022

guess the defense is coming around #6 in defrtg last ten games
― lag∞n, Thursday, 17 November 2022 20:53 (three years ago)
net rating is 11.9 over that span, nuggs are #2 at 6.3
― lag∞n, Thursday, 17 November 2022 20:54 (three years ago)
its happening
― ciderpress, Thursday, 17 November 2022 21:58 (three years ago)
i think putting grant into the starting lineup helped, hard to play good d with the smallball
― lag∞n, Thursday, 17 November 2022 22:12 (three years ago)
bigs are just better at defense than smalls, can't get around it
― ciderpress, Thursday, 17 November 2022 22:18 (three years ago)
grant williams is not that big but hes clearly bigger than derrick white
― lag∞n, Thursday, 17 November 2022 22:20 (three years ago)
also hes fat (according to trae young)
― lag∞n, Thursday, 17 November 2022 22:21 (three years ago)
if you're fat enough no one can get by you makes sense to me

― lag∞n, Friday, 18 November 2022 12:51 (three years ago)
just want to give props to jaylen for becoming a true bucket getter, early in his career he was pretty robotic now he can score in every way and hes creative with it
― lag∞n, Saturday, 19 November 2022 01:46 (three years ago)
ive been living the free stream life this year getting a lot of opponent broadcast teams and theyre always like they cant keep this up right when the celtics come out bombing threes, buddy ive got bad news
― lag∞n, Saturday, 19 November 2022 01:49 (three years ago)
40 point first quarter
― lag∞n, Saturday, 19 November 2022 02:04 (three years ago)

a little concerning that if it hadn’t been for derrick white having a career night the celtics might have lost this game. grant’s stat line was good but he looked off. brogdon was v ineffective. the ball movement is still great though. trust the ball movement.
― Tracer Hand, Saturday, 19 November 2022 19:07 (three years ago)
idk they got ahead early and coasted both teams seemed weirdly gassed in the second half only thing that kept it at all close was a ton of celtics turnovers which is something they have really not been doing this year, will say that jaylen initiating the offense is not good now nor has it ever been hes not a good passer and has a tendency to turn it over when driving into a set d, theres really no reason to use him that way since they have so many guys marcus white tatum brogdon pritchard who can do it better, get jaylen the ball on the move while defense is in rotation on a kick out with a screen in the high post really anything but him just dribbling up top
― lag∞n, Saturday, 19 November 2022 19:20 (three years ago)
along the same lines jaylen + bench lineups arent great but tatum + bench are, tho it might be a little different this year if youre including brogdon in the bench since hes not a bench quality player and can do a lot of the playmaking stuff jaylen struggles with
― lag∞n, Saturday, 19 November 2022 19:21 (three years ago)
he seems like a nice guy but i’m starting to think jb is not the sharpest tool in the shed
― Tracer Hand, Tuesday, 22 November 2022 12:52 (three years ago)
two stinkers so far this year both vs the bulls
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 22 November 2022 15:54 (three years ago)
other two losses were overtime vs the cavs, just stay away from those two teams
― Tracer Hand, Tuesday, November 22, 2022 7:52 AM (three hours ago)
all of these athletes and celebrities are basically cult members, completely in love with the idea of themselves as special, surrounding themselves with people who (for their own benefit) will reinforce that, it’s not a mindset that attracts the most curious people or demands any real introspection, this sort of thing is just a threat to the bottom line. which is why brown and the rest of the NBA players are loath to really criticize kyrie or support any sort of accountability: on some level of course they simply agree with what he’s saying, but on a more coldly economic level any holding of a player to account is a threat to their ability to make a lot of money.
obviously the specifics of the kyrie situation are a bit arbitrary and hypocritical coming from billionaire lizards like joe tsai, but it’s probably safe to not invest any moral energy in self-interested multimillionaire macho men either
― k3vin k., Tuesday, 22 November 2022 16:13 (three years ago)
i would prefer honestly to never have to think about the politics personal behavior and so forth of any celebrity ever again i know some people enjoy that sort of thing finding an actor to judge or whatever but its really just more sound and fury imho, kryie def crossed a line where he was promoting uncut anti semitism to his millions of followers and for that i resent him it would be preferable if he could just be a somewhat normal level of lame dude, im not even demanding shut up and dribble here gordon hayward can endorse trump if he wants or lebron can conspire with obama to undercut the labor movement idc just dont be a full on thought leader for abhorrent ideas
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 22 November 2022 16:22 (three years ago)
tho tbh if a celebrities actions are bizarre or funny im wiling to entertain them, kyrie being the messiest bitch in the nba then burning sage upon his return to boston garden was legitimately newsworthy
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 22 November 2022 16:52 (three years ago)
need less of this and more of carmelo's mystical orb
― ciderpress, Tuesday, 22 November 2022 17:41 (three years ago)
i didn't hallucinate that, right. its impossible to find on google now because a basketball is also an orb

― ciderpress, Tuesday, 22 November 2022 17:54 (three years ago)
hmm it might have been jr smith and not carmelo but it was one of the two. my investigation has dead ended at a link to a deleted tweet though
