The biggest CAV surprise for me is that they are 8-1 with Garland (their first or second best scorer) only playing in two full games.

they play so hard, vibes are very good over there, tho they might want to chill a bit at some point its a long season

well yes it's only 10 games alas that's how many games have been played

i think we need to check back in at around game 20 these things usually smooth out after a quarter of the season. the jazz and blazers not only being in the mix but high in the standings is gonna make things a lot tougher for the west tho. games will matter more which is cool. the heat and 76ers are underperforming in the east.

cavs move the ball so well, big team energy and every great team needs somebody super punchable and that person is kevin love

i’m still skeptical of them as a playoff team i just feel like you need wing players at the end of the day but it’s a great time for cavs fans no doubt, the mitchell trade was a home run

Clippers have had an easy draw so far - they've beaten Rockets (twice), Kings, Lakers, and Spurs. They've lost to OKC (twice), Pelicans, Suns, and Jazz.

they're 22nd in net rating... and if you look at the numbers there's big drop off between the 21st team (miami at -1.8) and the clippers at 22 (-3.7). they've been clearly one of the 10 worst teams in the league by this measure. anecdotally a lot of their guys just aren't performing... norman powell's PER is 7.25, reggie jackson's is 8.32... batum, mann, kennard, covington are all under 15. it's early yada yada but they have kinda been shockingly bad (btw i picked them to win the title)

Clippers are prob grateful that the Nets' bad vibes are at the first-team-all-universe level, so their bad vibes get little attention.

they're the worst offense in the league right now. defense is good

i also picked them to win the chip... i think lue will work something out.

it all depends on kawhi and pg health and really not much else.

hawks might have got a good one with this AJ Griffin kid. he dropped 24 on the bucks shooting 10/15 from the field

there were a lot of questions abt his defense, but his shooting was always his greatest feature

luka is putting up insane #s but after watching harden and russ do this type of thing for years i just cant get excited about it?

The fact that a player has so much talent that they consistently put up big numbers against other NBA teams makes them pretty damn amazing to watch. But teams that are built around having one superstar put up mind-boggling numbers every night are built more around a weakness than a strength.

Watching Luka isn't as much fun as the Dirk-Nash era or elder Dirk putting the team on his back but he makes some incredibly fun passes. (He seems less pouty this season, too.)

what i like about luka is that he loves to put on a show and seems to love what he's doing out there. the feeling that he's just toying with the other team.

i love luka highlights but dont care to watch a whole game of him is i guess what im saying idk
