lol that is about as controversial as al gets

only caught the last 10 minutes or so but tatum's effort level was completely insane--crashing for offensive rebounds, really scrapping inside whenever he got a chance. 20 free throws is something else.

the biggest positive for me was the paint points - the bulls shellacked boston in the earlier game down low.

tatum, brown and smart still trying to make fetch happen through traffic, still too much jawing from grant, still too many meek contests on the perimeter. they get torched by guys like garland and derozan who curl off screens to find a little space. i guess last year they would have just switched on to them?

much will be made of the 3 point percentage tonight but other than tatum's isos, basically all the threes they took were easy open shots. they finally clamped down on the knicks in the 4th--the knicks have some good offensive players but schemewise they're pretty easy to know how to guard.

we all knew brogdon was a good fit on paper, but seeing his game in detail it's really so perfect for what they need.

yeah knicks had no interest in guarding the line just wide open look after wide open look, celtics defense has been pretty bad but i will hold my judgement until they get their big man rotation in order

update they have continued to hit 3s, and all the other shots

they should try 4s for a real edge

why stop there no one knows what the upper bounds of points you can get for a shot is

judging by this data they should play hauser more

3rd game in 4 nights seemed like it caught up with them in the 2nd half

definitely. i was impressed they controlled things as well as they did against a tough team but the 2 consecutive travels on offense and the 4 consecutive missed free throws, you'd like to have those back

strange grant game too where he attempted zero field goals. from what i saw he was getting the ball in his normal spots and doing the pump fake/drive to nowhere, clearly thinking a little too much when he could just shoot from 3.
