their roster (on paper) is orders of magnitude better than either the nets or lakers and they have a top 5ish coach in the league. but certainly the floor of just flopping again is there with them

all else aside i cant see udoka and kyrie getting along, obvs kyrie doesnt get along with anyone but udoka seems less likely to be chill about it than some coaches

Udoka's coaching style of publicly calling out his players all the time worked well with the C's. I have my doubts about it working so well with some of the Nets personalities.

kind of a weird idea but then again durant and kyrie are very special cases, would be curious to see him with a low profile rebuilding squad without strange energy

seems pretty obvious they would have been happy to do this over the summer except for the optics of caving to kd’s public demand.

anyway he was a bad coach for the most part and based on his quotes had kind of checked out on this gig, which i cannot blame him for.

its pretty rare for star players to be good coaches tho not unheard of, bird was good, kidd is good now too i guess, but mostly they wash out, the role player grinder types seem more suited to the job

and tbf kidd is way on the grindy end of star

for sure, it felt super random as if he had some duty to KD to coach him bcuz KD liked having him around in practice in golden state. there was always an air of obligation around the whole thing

nash needs to just go back to the warriors or another team as a shooting coach who gets to pop in a handful of times per month when he's bored. he seems like a chill guy who should just enjoy retirement tbf.

the now this gonna be fun one? idk i think the nets is worse, that lakers team was actually good the first year before injuries predictably caught up with them, and just on vibes and chaos level this nets team is so bad, kyries vax strike fat harden forcing his way out ben simmons lol, also the expectations for that lakers team were really unrealistic too many way over the hill guys, nets team actually had stars in their primes, tho not their peaks
