lag∞n, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 03:28 (three years ago)

utah just toasted the grizz theyre 6-2 and clearly not actually that bad

lag∞n, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 03:29 (three years ago)

Some very strange standings at the moment

Spottie, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 03:31 (three years ago)

And I guess the suns are still good huh

Spottie, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 03:32 (three years ago)

if i was a contender id be calling danny ainge like he you need me to take some guys

lag∞n, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 03:33 (three years ago)

btw many xposts but when i saw the clips at the top of all the predix from the journos it didn't make sense to me, if it hadn't worked before why would it work now that they're older and more injured? came across like a real "well it's gotta be somebody!" type pick when there was just no clear frontrunner in the west

Clay, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 03:33 (three years ago)

yeah i tried to rank the west and just gave up after a minute

lag∞n, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 03:33 (three years ago)

We clearly should have all picked the blazers and the jazz

Spottie, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 03:36 (three years ago)

spurs imo

slai gorgeous-alexander (m bison), Tuesday, 1 November 2022 03:36 (three years ago)

maybe one day there will be an in-season tournament to help us determine who might win the later more important tournament

Clay, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 03:38 (three years ago)

picking the clippers seemed basically the same as picking the lakers to me

ciderpress, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 03:49 (three years ago)

Kinda felt like picking the nets to me. All the talent to do it but no proof that they can. And just old injured dudes and/or weird energy guys

Spottie, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 04:17 (three years ago)

their roster (on paper) is orders of magnitude better than either the nets or lakers and they have a top 5ish coach in the league. but certainly the floor of just flopping again is there with them

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 1 November 2022 04:38 (three years ago)

Those comments from Lue sound like Kawhi may be cooked

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 15:59 (three years ago)

Uncle Dennis 2: Escape from L.A.

Lavator Shemmelpennick, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 16:33 (three years ago)

The Nets fired Steve Nash, sources tell ESPN.

— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) November 1, 2022

Decision was mutual with Nets and Nash, per sources.

— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) November 1, 2022

well hey, it’s gotta be one or the other

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:00 (three years ago)

Jacque Vaughn is the acting head coach tonight but expect the Nets to inquire with suspended Celtics coach Ime Udoka, Quin Snyder, among others. Boston will let Udoka leave for another job.

— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) November 1, 2022

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:04 (three years ago)

they CANNOT bring in udoka lol

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:07 (three years ago)

woww lol

lag∞n, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:25 (three years ago)

udoka taking that job would be the icing on the cake

Spottie, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:26 (three years ago)

would be just too much

lag∞n, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:27 (three years ago)

all else aside i cant see udoka and kyrie getting along, obvs kyrie doesnt get along with anyone but udoka seems less likely to be chill about it than some coaches

lag∞n, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:29 (three years ago)

for instance

Udoka's coaching style of publicly calling out his players all the time worked well with the C's. I have my doubts about it working so well with some of the Nets personalities.

Also there's the whole scandal thing.

so fucking stupid, if you were only giving nash ten games to right the ship, they would've been better off letting him go over the summer and restructuring.

wonder if nash will coach again, feel like it was a weird idea in the first place

lag∞n, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:31 (three years ago)

Nash now the master of 7 games or less.

sometimes you have to drink to kill the paranoia (PBKR), Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:32 (three years ago)

kind of a weird idea but then again durant and kyrie are very special cases, would be curious to see him with a low profile rebuilding squad without strange energy

omar little, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:32 (three years ago)

seems pretty obvious they would have been happy to do this over the summer except for the optics of caving to kd’s public demand.

anyway he was a bad coach for the most part and based on his quotes had kind of checked out on this gig, which i cannot blame him for.

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:34 (three years ago)

its pretty rare for star players to be good coaches tho not unheard of, bird was good, kidd is good now too i guess, but mostly they wash out, the role player grinder types seem more suited to the job

lag∞n, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:35 (three years ago)

and tbf kidd is way on the grindy end of star

lag∞n, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:36 (three years ago)

nets optics are as bad as a team can be i suppose

“Cheeky cheeky!” she trills, nearly demolishing a roadside post (forksclovetofu), Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:37 (three years ago)

lag∞n's post matches my observations, too

― lag∞n, Tuesday, November 1, 2022 1:31 PM (five minutes ago)

for sure, it felt super random as if he had some duty to KD to coach him bcuz KD liked having him around in practice in golden state. there was always an air of obligation around the whole thing

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:38 (three years ago)

nash needs to just go back to the warriors or another team as a shooting coach who gets to pop in a handful of times per month when he's bored. he seems like a chill guy who should just enjoy retirement tbf.

Spottie, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:40 (three years ago)

yeah agree, only people who deeply need to coach should coach its not a good job

lag∞n, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:42 (three years ago)

kd handpicking his coach and kyrie and also deandre jordan(?).

GM durant vs GM bron would be a good poll.

Spottie, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:42 (three years ago)

he was doomed from the start

Fun fact — This is what Kyrie and KD said in 2020 after Steve Nash was named head coach.

Kyrie: "I don’t really see us having a head coach… KD could be a head coach. I could be a head coach."

KD: "Jacque Vaughn could do it one day." pic.twitter.com/OhVElKsE1h

Spottie, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:45 (three years ago)

brons gotta be winning this one his teams have rings kds track record is much shorter but all hes got is this worst super team ever xp

lag∞n, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:46 (three years ago)

GM bron did pick shabazz napier. i need to see KD get involved in the draft process

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:47 (three years ago)

the most recent lakers superteam is worse than the Nets superteam i think, but its close.

Spottie, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:50 (three years ago)

kyrie 8 coaches in 10 years:

Byron Scott
Mike Brown
David Blatt
Ty Lue
Brad Stevens
Kenny Atkinson
Steve Nash
Jacque Vaughn

Spottie, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:51 (three years ago)

for the love of god please let them hire udoka

k3vin k., Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:54 (three years ago)

― Spottie, Tuesday, November 1, 2022 1:50 PM (one minute ago) bookmarkflaglink

the now this gonna be fun one? idk i think the nets is worse, that lakers team was actually good the first year before injuries predictably caught up with them, and just on vibes and chaos level this nets team is so bad, kyries vax strike fat harden forcing his way out ben simmons lol, also the expectations for that lakers team were really unrealistic too many way over the hill guys, nets team actually had stars in their primes, tho not their peaks

lag∞n, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:56 (three years ago)

theyre really gonna do this lmao

Ime Udoka has emerged as a strong frontrunner to be the next Brooklyn Nets head coach and the sides have begun discussions, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Nets are in the midst of their search process and are continuing to do due diligence.

lag∞n, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 17:58 (three years ago)

hey josh primo is available too

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 1 November 2022 18:00 (three years ago)

dark lol

lag∞n, Tuesday, 1 November 2022 18:03 (three years ago)

seems likely that udoka is just gonna do the same shit that got him in trouble in boston in brooklyn, celtics gave him a chance to stop and he just would or could not
