― Clay, Saturday, 29 October 2022 00:18 (three years ago)
tatums list is mostly insane but redeems itself for standing against the lobster roll, a dumb way to eat one of the best foods lol xp

Per the great @StatsWilliams: The last time there was a game with both teams having at least 10 fouls in the first quarter was Dec. 20, 2000 – a game between the Celtics and Nets.— Tim Bontemps (@TimBontemps) October 29, 2022

its a new theory of defense
― lag∞n, Saturday, 29 October 2022 02:55 (three years ago)
Luke Kornet said he’s been told this works. Said if the numbers start to show otherwise, he’ll adjust, but players have told him this makes an impact. “We’re visually dependent people, so, yeah.” https://t.co/0lWRMYNnCB— Jay King (@ByJayKing) October 29, 2022

idk doesnt seem worth giving up your rebounding position for at the very least

― Clay, Saturday, 29 October 2022 03:04 (three years ago)
after the brown dunk i really thought the game had turnedlol when did regular season basketball get intense? time was, it used to be kind of ho hum until the playoffs

― lag∞n, Saturday, 29 October 2022 18:57 (three years ago)
Also there’s a lot of good teams and talent spread out so I think teams will be trying more cos playoff seeding could be important

kornet did that weird ass jumping from twenty feet away thing again this game, he's serious about it

“I like math,” said Joe Mazzulla. So far, the Celtics have the type of shot profile to please him at each end of the court. My story: https://t.co/xyFuFtmMwL— Jay King (@ByJayKing) October 31, 2022

watch him talk, i'm telling you once you see don knotts you can't unsee it
― Tracer Hand, Monday, 31 October 2022 15:12 (three years ago)
i read that article and not entirely convinced by it. kind of wild how things change. just a few months ago the celtics had the best D in the league and everybody's screaming for a point guard
yeah shot location is meaningful but you still have to actually play good defense, the thing thats really killing the celtics now is rebounding tho
― lag∞n, Monday, 31 October 2022 15:15 (three years ago)
theyre playing small and dont have enough quality bigs
― lag∞n, Monday, 31 October 2022 15:16 (three years ago)
getting rob back would help but considering his iffiness als age and so forth they really need another guy, i would like to see them go back to the two big lineup tbqh
― lag∞n, Monday, 31 October 2022 15:20 (three years ago)
might be waiting til gallos contract is tradable in december to move it and a second or something for a normal backup center, they could also move white + something for a better player, or try to get a minimum/gleague guy for nothing i guess
either way having kornet/vonleh/blake getting big minutes just isnt tenable, and if al misses time it could result in major losses
― lag∞n, Monday, 31 October 2022 15:27 (three years ago)
boston playing like absolute ass against this cavs team
― Tracer Hand, Thursday, 3 November 2022 00:01 (three years ago)
cavs are good

― lag∞n, Thursday, 3 November 2022 00:02 (three years ago)
look at grant going to coast to coast there with the nice spin move tho
― lag∞n, Thursday, 3 November 2022 00:03 (three years ago)
yeah cavs playing great
― Tracer Hand, Thursday, 3 November 2022 00:08 (three years ago)
first game w garland too.
― Spottie, Thursday, 3 November 2022 00:12 (three years ago)
garland is absolutely smoking the celtics
― Tracer Hand, Thursday, 3 November 2022 00:16 (three years ago)
kevin love blocked at the rim two plays in a row, embarrassing

At least it's his last year on that contract.

celtics and cavs playing two overtime playoff intensity games in the first ten games of the season
― lag∞n, Thursday, 3 November 2022 02:09 (three years ago)
celtics did lose them both tho
― lag∞n, Thursday, 3 November 2022 02:22 (three years ago)
wild game. tatum's shot wasn't going but he was playing full bore on every possession.
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 3 November 2022 02:22 (three years ago)
he wasnt getting the calls either couple really bad missed ones down the stretch, refs did kind of give them back on smart grifting tho lol
― lag∞n, Thursday, 3 November 2022 02:24 (three years ago)
yeah smart was really in his bag tonight

lol that is about as controversial as al gets
― call all destroyer, Saturday, 5 November 2022 02:02 (three years ago)
only caught the last 10 minutes or so but tatum's effort level was completely insane--crashing for offensive rebounds, really scrapping inside whenever he got a chance. 20 free throws is something else.
― call all destroyer, Saturday, 5 November 2022 02:19 (three years ago)
yeah pretty good game kinda sloppy but in a fun way except for all the fts
― lag∞n, Saturday, 5 November 2022 02:33 (three years ago)
celtics ball movement is good and tatum is majorly locked in
― lag∞n, Saturday, 5 November 2022 02:34 (three years ago)
just popping in to say malcolm brogdon is very good
― lag∞n, Saturday, 5 November 2022 14:09 (three years ago)
now the celtics just need to trade for jakob pertl, cant really happen til gallos contract is movable in december, also not sure if they can trade gallo back to the spurs since they waived him, but it was in the offseason so idk if the cant reacquire a guy you waived rule applies, might need to be a three team deal
― lag∞n, Saturday, 5 November 2022 14:21 (three years ago)
the second unit was a bit of a revelation. grant lob to kornet??
the biggest positive for me was the paint points - the bulls shellacked boston in the earlier game down low.
tatum, brown and smart still trying to make fetch happen through traffic, still too much jawing from grant, still too many meek contests on the perimeter. they get torched by guys like garland and derozan who curl off screens to find a little space. i guess last year they would have just switched on to them?
― Tracer Hand, Saturday, 5 November 2022 16:23 (three years ago)
derozan has murdered them for years, it’s like a law of nature
― call all destroyer, Saturday, 5 November 2022 16:45 (three years ago)
Sam Hauser up to 55.1 percent shooting from 3 this season (16-of-29).— Brian Robb (@BrianTRobb) November 6, 2022
― lag∞n, Sunday, 6 November 2022 00:12 (three years ago)
much will be made of the 3 point percentage tonight but other than tatum's isos, basically all the threes they took were easy open shots. they finally clamped down on the knicks in the 4th--the knicks have some good offensive players but schemewise they're pretty easy to know how to guard.
we all knew brogdon was a good fit on paper, but seeing his game in detail it's really so perfect for what they need.
