Watching the Nets/Pels from last night and focusing on Simmons, he's unreal just zero effort

seems like he just might be totally done with wanting to play basketball, he does want the money tho

i'm trying not to overreact to the last few months but it really does feel like his basketball career is on the precipice of being over in a real way

Luka and Dirk are very different players but it seems like we’re back in that era where the franchise can’t really get a second star and instead is based around an ever-changing series of role players. It eventually worked and they got a title but was that just lightning in a bottle?

Simmons thing has just spiraled in such an insane way. Other guys have had a precipitous fall and washed out of the league from all-star status quickly, but it's wild that he was so ambivalent and fragile that the media turning on him disintegrated his whole life as an nba star. i mean he was never mr tough hard-working lover of the game, but it is incredible that he was able to accomplish what he did given that that was all it took for it all to come crashing down

There are a lot of guys who just don’t like basketball that much and this was his vibe in college. On the other hand Anthony Edwards had that vibe and seems to have decided basketball is cool

it helps when you’re actually good at the sport

idk i felt like sexton got in position where he was begging jokic to bowl into him and jokic obliged. it was a bad play in the context of the game insofar as it caused a turnover but i don't think it was unnecessarily vicious or anything

i'm more interested in the fact that you can attack the nuggets by iso-ing jokic w/ a smaller quicker player and just going right at him. it doesn't look too dissimilar from reggie jackson or jalen bruson vs gobert

yeah idk. i think if you're a guard and you're gonna set up in front of a big who you just scored on to take a charge and the big puts his shoulder into you and flattens you like a bug you were a consenting individual in that exchange
