ESPN’s Stat-based win projections for the West: 1. PHX - 492. DEN - 47.93. NOP - 47.64. MEM - 46.15. MIN - 45.76. LAC - 43.67. DAL - 43.18. GSW - 41.99. LAL - 36.810. POR - 36.6— NBACentral (@TheNBACentral) September 29, 2022

Warriors at under .500!
― Antifa Lockhart (Leee), Thursday, 29 September 2022 22:59 (three years ago)
i could see memphis and minny maybe LA and pdx being about right, everything else there is pretty weird??
― Clay, Thursday, 29 September 2022 23:07 (three years ago)
the model doesn't know what's going on w/ the suns & shorting the warriors is prob not a bad idea tho to the degree of under .500 is prob a bit extra. the thing is that all these teams in projections and at the end of the season are going to be separated by like 2 games in any direction so what needs to happen (random injuries) for the projections to be off is pretty small
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 29 September 2022 23:26 (three years ago)
block buster
ESPN Sources: The Oklahoma City Thunder are trading Derrick Favors, Ty Jerome, Moe Harkless, Theo Maledon and a 2025 second-round pick via Atlanta to the Houston Rockets for David Nwaba, Sterling Brown, Trey Burke and Marquese Chriss.— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) September 30, 2022

wonder why espn stats thinks the dubs are going to fall off, just age maybe, i mean they were +5.5 last year with a bunch of injuries, think they mightve even won the chip too
― lag∞n, Friday, 30 September 2022 01:28 (three years ago)
ESPN noticed that Gary Payton II left GSW and made adjustments accordingly?
― more difficult than I look (Aimless), Friday, 30 September 2022 01:42 (three years ago)
that okc/houston trade rules
― call all destroyer, Friday, 30 September 2022 01:45 (three years ago)
After a trade like that you have to wonder which of the players involved won't be in the league at the start of the season.
― more difficult than I look (Aimless), Friday, 30 September 2022 01:49 (three years ago)
the perfect trade
― ciderpress, Friday, 30 September 2022 04:59 (three years ago)
Free agent Blake Griffin has agreed to a one-year, fully guaranteed deal with the Boston Celtics, sources tell ESPN.— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) September 30, 2022

the perfect free agent signing
― ciderpress, Friday, 30 September 2022 15:30 (three years ago)
cant wait to cheer on the many thunderous dunks
― lag∞n, Friday, 30 September 2022 16:01 (three years ago)
― Matt Armstrong, Friday, 30 September 2022 20:26 (three years ago)
projections are always tighter around .500 than seems possible but yeah doesnt seem like it has any confidence in any teams this year
― ciderpress, Friday, 30 September 2022 20:41 (three years ago)
suns are down 20 at halftime to... an australian basketball team
― lag∞n, Monday, 3 October 2022 03:18 (three years ago)
12, rather
― lag∞n, Monday, 3 October 2022 03:19 (three years ago)
thats still bad imo
in other news the spurs lost by almost 40 to the rockets, they are gonna be so bad this year lmao
― terence trent d'ilfer (m bison), Monday, 3 October 2022 03:20 (three years ago)
its not a strong roster
― lag∞n, Monday, 3 October 2022 03:21 (three years ago)
on this forum we value strength
― Clay, Monday, 3 October 2022 03:33 (three years ago)
theyve got a lot of good role players and absolutely no shot creators or playmakers
― terence trent d'ilfer (m bison), Monday, 3 October 2022 03:34 (three years ago)
bison just close your eyes and picture the headlines one year from now about how excited tim duncan is to mentor victor wembanyama and have him carry on the spurs tradition
― J0rdan S., Monday, 3 October 2022 04:03 (three years ago)
im still kinda sad that pop didnt bow out when timmy retired
― Spottie, Monday, 3 October 2022 04:05 (three years ago)
It’s just an exhibition game… But the Adelaide 36ers just beat the Phoenix Suns 134-124. Perimeter defense will likely be a thing of emphasis for the Suns as Adelaide made 24 of 43 3-pointers. The 36ers play in The National Basketball League based in Australia and New Zealand.— Marc J. Spears (@MarcJSpears) October 3, 2022
― Spottie, Monday, 3 October 2022 04:48 (three years ago)
they should be in the nba now and the suns should be in the Australian league
― Clay, Monday, 3 October 2022 04:55 (three years ago)
just chris paul tho
― Spottie, Monday, 3 October 2022 05:01 (three years ago)
It appears the Adelaide 36ers are the first non-NBA team to win a preseason game (134-124 at the Phoenix Suns) in the U.S. since Fenerbahce beat Brooklyn in October 2015: https://t.co/GY8GDYGj1B— Kevin Pelton (@kpelton) October 3, 2022
Adelaide is also apparently the first team based outside of Europe to win a preseason game against an NBA team in the period tracked by @nbastats (back to the 2005-06 preseason).— Kevin Pelton (@kpelton) October 3, 2022
― J0rdan S., Monday, 3 October 2022 05:14 (three years ago)
if i was a betting person id be smashing the under on suns wins. has a team with this poor of vibes heading into a season been able to beat their odds?
― Spottie, Monday, 3 October 2022 05:57 (three years ago)
also assuming crowder is indeed done there they have prob the biggest chasm between the starting 5 and bench of any team in the league. their sixth best player is… shamet? saric? i just don’t like their roster. james jones is not good at his job
― J0rdan S., Monday, 3 October 2022 06:28 (three years ago)
Devin Booker just posted a screenshot from this LeBron press conference 👀(h/t @AhnFireDigital) pic.twitter.com/eoIiB1gXJF— NBACentral (@TheNBACentral) October 3, 2022
― Spottie, Monday, 3 October 2022 16:50 (three years ago)
yeah xp their roster after 1-5 is quite bad. they really shoulda blitzed to get bojan
― Spottie, Monday, 3 October 2022 16:52 (three years ago)
wow i have not heard about this potential trade before this is compelling info
The Lakers 'seriously considered' sending Russell Westbrook and their two unprotected first-round picks (2027 and 2029) to the Pacers for Myles Turner and Buddy Hield, per @ShamsCharania, @jovanbuha and @sam_amick Rob Pelinka chose to "remain patient" to see how L.A. jells pic.twitter.com/fa5KFg4X6m— Bleacher Report (@BleacherReport) October 3, 2022

man that era of lebron press conferences was so wild lmao
― J0rdan S., Monday, 3 October 2022 17:04 (three years ago)
why are they dragging this out lol xp
― Spottie, Monday, 3 October 2022 17:05 (three years ago)

he was going through it for sure.
― Spottie, Monday, 3 October 2022 17:06 (three years ago)
they either need to make the trade or come up with new trade ideas
― lag∞n, Monday, 3 October 2022 17:06 (three years ago)
somebody should trade for those two players. just not sure it should be the lakers. and def not for two unprotected picks
― J0rdan S., Monday, 3 October 2022 17:07 (three years ago)
the fact that the mavs went into the offseason with the singular goal of only acquiring centers and apparently did not ever attempt to get myles turner remains extremely confusing to me
― J0rdan S., Monday, 3 October 2022 17:08 (three years ago)
indys just sitting around waiting for russ to become a problem
― lag∞n, Monday, 3 October 2022 17:13 (three years ago)
the mavs really need hardaway to be good coming off an acl tear.
― Spottie, Monday, 3 October 2022 17:22 (three years ago)
even putting the brunson stuff aside their offseason was bizarre
― J0rdan S., Monday, 3 October 2022 17:39 (three years ago)
i feel like i watched a different playoffs than their front office idk. their whole second half push was a combo of having small mobile centers who could make their defense fully switchable and two guards to go along w/ luka who could shoot and get their own shot. so their offseason plan was to sign two traditional centers and not replace brunson. got it
― J0rdan S., Monday, 3 October 2022 17:42 (three years ago)
i am pretty skeptical that their ex-nike guy front office has any idea what they're doing
― call all destroyer, Monday, 3 October 2022 18:28 (three years ago)
yeah. i wonder. the zinger trade turned out to be a complete heist but was also probably just been blind luck
― J0rdan S., Monday, 3 October 2022 18:34 (three years ago)
what happened to kat?
Karl-Anthony Towns didn't go into deep detail about what he's been through, but said he only started walking again after his non-covid illness on Saturday. He's down to 231 pounds. But says he feels good to be back out on the court and is ramping back up.— Jon Krawczynski (@JonKrawczynski) October 3, 2022
― Spottie, Monday, 3 October 2022 18:53 (three years ago)
wtf. he is cursed.
― call all destroyer, Monday, 3 October 2022 19:23 (three years ago)
well at least they traded for a guy who plays his position
― J0rdan S., Monday, 3 October 2022 19:28 (three years ago)
If the illness was "on Saturday" it sounds like food poisoning and puking his guts out.
― more difficult than I look (Aimless), Monday, 3 October 2022 19:30 (three years ago)
Karl-Anthony Towns didn't go into details about his illness, but said he was in the hospital. Cleared to just walk again Saturday. When asked if he was worried about missing camp, the season, he said: "There was more drastic things to worry about than basketball at that moment."— Chris Hine (@ChristopherHine) October 3, 2022
Cleared to walk doesn't sound good
― Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Monday, 3 October 2022 19:54 (three years ago)
sounds like really bad food poisoning
