Meniscus can be just as bad
― Spottie, Monday, 29 August 2022 05:18 (three years ago)
so it was the ACL after all lol
― Tracer Hand, Saturday, 3 September 2022 10:51 (three years ago)
Gallinari first suffered this injury with the Nuggets back in April 2013 and had a “healing response” alternative procedure by Dr. Richard Steadman in Colorado to attempt a less invasive surgery that could fix the knee. The surgery was ultimately unsuccessful and he had to have a full repair in January 2014, causing him to miss the entire 2o13-14 season. He said he would write a book about the ordeal one day, noting that several other athletes such as Russell Westbrook had the same procedure done at the Steadman clinic and still had to have follow-up surgery.

Boston Celtics center Robert Williams is undergoing arthroscopic procedure on his left knee and is expected to need 4-to-6 weeks for recovery, sources tell ESPN. Williams had meniscus surgery in March and played through the playoffs— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) September 20, 2022

― lag∞n, Tuesday, 20 September 2022 20:50 (three years ago)
i still don’t get why they didn’t sign another minimum center. there had to have been a decent one.

Despite Robert Williams’s knee procedure, I was told the Celtics are not planning to sign one of the big-name veteran centers still available. Expect them to replace the recently waived Bruno Caboclo with another young big man to compete for a spot in training camp.— Jay King (@ByJayKing) September 21, 2022
