idk imo if you're the pelicans, your title window does not exist and has historically never existed, they have a shitload of picks for just this kind of scenario. i think they should go for it with ingram, cap filler, and like 4 or 5 picks and still have tons of draft capital while opening up a two year window.

the question is if KD is really that player anymore. i tend to agree w/ the everyone who still thinks he's a top 3 player but that boston series has to be a tad concerning. but if you're trading that much stuff to give yourself a two year window you better be 100% sure the guy is still at that level

the question isnt "is kd that guy?" its "will brandon ingram (or any of these picks) ever be that guy?"

it's kinda two questions but again if you're giving that much up for KD you can't have him putting up another playoff series where he shoots 40% from the field. i feel like it was just a really bad match up and he'll be a beast again in the playoffs but i would maybe be slightly worried

its not a surefire trade to be sure, but if it was then KD would not be available at all

it will cool off but it might take time. there was a point in time where no one thought a team would ever give up something like the nets package for pierce/garnett again. these things always cycle.
