cant blame him after dealing with these guys for a couple seasons
“Joe Tsai would rather have a team that plays hard that he's proud to own that wins 40 games and fights for the play-in than have a team that has way more talent that he's not proud to be a part of.” 😳- ESPN’s Brian Windhorst on the Nets’ owner (h/t @Krisplashed ) pic.twitter.com/WMnwfHPq8L— NBACentral (@TheNBACentral) July 1, 2022
― Spottie, Friday, 1 July 2022 16:31 (four years ago)
people who still think windhorst is like lebron’s puppet or whatever should really become familiar with the work of chris haynes.
― call all destroyer, Friday, 1 July 2022 16:36 (four years ago)
damn the gallo market must have been nonexistent
― J0rdan S., Friday, 1 July 2022 17:07 (four years ago)
aging defensive liabilities fall off the cliff fast
― terence trent d'ilfer (m bison), Friday, 1 July 2022 17:08 (four years ago)
tax mle seems right for him at this point
― call all destroyer, Friday, 1 July 2022 17:10 (four years ago)
Atlanta is trading Kevin Huerter to Sacramento for Justin Holiday, Mo Harkless and a future first round pick, sources tell EPSN.— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) July 1, 2022
sacramento ramping up for that 9 seed push
― terence trent d'ilfer (m bison), Friday, 1 July 2022 17:12 (four years ago)
damn atlanta just dumping him huh. that’s a weird one
― J0rdan S., Friday, 1 July 2022 17:14 (four years ago)
i kind of liked heurter for the celtics TPE, oh well
― call all destroyer, Friday, 1 July 2022 17:14 (four years ago)
there should be an auto trade kicker any time a player gets sent to sacramento. like you get a 25% bonus on your salary paid by the league office
― J0rdan S., Friday, 1 July 2022 17:15 (four years ago)
huerter is 23 and has improved his shooting every year
― call all destroyer, Friday, 1 July 2022 17:22 (four years ago)
Not sad to lose Huerter honestly. He’s good but not worth what they paid him. Just really inconsistent
― Heez, Friday, 1 July 2022 17:25 (four years ago)
huerter's extension kicks in this year and ATL wants to save some money. theyre in the tax now i think? plus they get a lottery-protecc SAC first rounder. they may not be done with dealz.
― terence trent d'ilfer (m bison), Friday, 1 July 2022 17:26 (four years ago)
Also I assume the hawks know they are on the clock for two seasons if they decide to do free Murray a long term deal
― Heez, Friday, 1 July 2022 17:26 (four years ago)
Huerter not consistent but that usually improves with age. Seems weird to bail now idk
― Spottie, Friday, 1 July 2022 17:28 (four years ago)
they must have decided that a protected kings first has more value around the league than huerter, which may be correct. you’d have to figure they shopped him around and didn’t find anything they liked, or at least nothing they liked that was worth keeping themselves in the tax. but i remember when huerter signed that deal ppl were like, great contract immediate trade value. maybe he just wasn’t that valued around the league. i guess it depends on what the protection is on the pick
― J0rdan S., Friday, 1 July 2022 17:31 (four years ago)
I kind of expected OPJ would get a bigger payday elsewhere, but GP2 signing elsewhere does sting, though I'm glad for him personally. It does make re-signing Wiggins marginally easier/higher priority now, though.
― Antifa Lockhart (Leee), Friday, 1 July 2022 17:32 (four years ago)
huerter is a good player but he’s def emblematic of what we were talking about the other day with the hawks. i wouldn’t call him soft in the macho sense like he shrinks in the spotlight or gets intimidated or whatever but he is soft in the physical sense, like he’s a skinny dude who isn’t physically imposing, you never feel him during the game. he’s skilled but guys like miami or boston have are never going to be worried about going up against him. the hawks need less of those guys
― J0rdan S., Friday, 1 July 2022 17:35 (four years ago)
The Indiana Pacers are trading guard Malcolm Brogdon to the Boston Celtics, sources tell ESPN.— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) July 1, 2022
― J0rdan S., Friday, 1 July 2022 17:37 (four years ago)
whoa
― call all destroyer, Friday, 1 July 2022 17:38 (four years ago)
The Celtics are sending Daniel Theis, Aaron Nesmith and a 2023 first-round pick, sources tell ESPN. https://t.co/etqmr9l0l7— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) July 1, 2022
― J0rdan S., Friday, 1 July 2022 17:40 (four years ago)
the health is scary but they don’t need him to play a ton in the regular season.
― call all destroyer, Friday, 1 July 2022 17:41 (four years ago)
Excellent move. Seems like he's just what they need.
― Chyiv Kyiv (Fetchboy), Friday, 1 July 2022 17:45 (four years ago)
Celtics are also including Nik Stauskas, Malik Fitts and Juwan Morgan in the trade, sources tell ESPN.— Adrian Wojnarowski (@wojespn) July 1, 2022
― in places all over the world, real stuff be happening (voodoo chili), Friday, 1 July 2022 17:45 (four years ago)
nothing of note, but they might need another player back from the pacers for roster reasons
Otm regarding Huerter. Plus they just drafted a sharp shooter that plays subpar defense
― Heez, Friday, 1 July 2022 17:47 (four years ago)
wow huge pickup for the celtics if brogdon can find some health
― lag∞n, Friday, 1 July 2022 17:59 (four years ago)
tho smart white and brogdon are all kind of same guyish
― lag∞n, Friday, 1 July 2022 18:00 (four years ago)
to be fair its a good guy to have duplicates of
― terence trent d'ilfer (m bison), Friday, 1 July 2022 18:03 (four years ago)
yeah i thought maybe white was gonna be the piece being sent out
― J0rdan S., Friday, 1 July 2022 18:05 (four years ago)
its not like you cant play two of them together, tho smart and white are kind of rough together because of the lack of shooting but brogdon with either of them should be a little better
― lag∞n, Friday, 1 July 2022 18:08 (four years ago)
does seem like white could get pushed to the end of the rotation tho
also makes him expendable at the deadline if they need or want something else
― J0rdan S., Friday, 1 July 2022 18:09 (four years ago)
true
― lag∞n, Friday, 1 July 2022 18:09 (four years ago)
good get for the celtics
― Spottie, Friday, 1 July 2022 18:11 (four years ago)
smart brogdon the jays rob could be a pretty sweet crunch time rotation, brogdon should add a little of that playmaking they need
― lag∞n, Friday, 1 July 2022 18:11 (four years ago)
brogdon was great in the bubble playoffs first round vs the heat… put up 21/10 in that series
― J0rdan S., Friday, 1 July 2022 18:15 (four years ago)
yeah hes a good player he does a lot of good basketball things
― lag∞n, Friday, 1 July 2022 18:16 (four years ago)
hes one of those extremely solid guys
― lag∞n, Friday, 1 July 2022 18:17 (four years ago)
oh wow brogdon is way more of a guy than i was expecting them to get for that role
― ciderpress, Friday, 1 July 2022 18:27 (four years ago)
sounding like bjelica is gonna be heading to play in europe
― Spottie, Friday, 1 July 2022 18:27 (four years ago)
Has anyone in the west improved? Things seem to be skewing toward the east
― Heez, Friday, 1 July 2022 19:03 (four years ago)
clippers and nuggets should be back in the mix. portland too.
― Spottie, Friday, 1 July 2022 19:06 (four years ago)
