How good is Brunson? I can't get a handle on what the general feeling is. Is he poised to breakout if he's more of an focal point or is he just a guy who's young and undamaged or hindered by a terrible contract in a time when there aren't many available?

UMS i think it’s the latter. he’s never going to make an all star team.

I would feel a lot better about that Tucker contract if it were two years. I've got a feeling we're going to find out he's cooked a month into the second year.

yeah brunson will probably be a borderline all star guy. he's probably best suited as a 6th man, or as a 3rd option on a good team? hes real crafty and seems to be an elite pnr guard. but hes short and not great on defense. will be interesting to see what he does with a higher usage rate, no luka to play next to, and way less shooting around him.

he'll also be 26 soon so hard to see him making another leap. per 36 the last two years he's been about 18/5/5 the scoring will prob increase a bit but the shooting percentages will drop

they are desperate for a real pg at this point

he was a good fit on the mavs, and there was still room for a bigger role, this was a poor decision

tho i havent heard if the mavs were willing to give him nearly the same contract, understandable if they werent, but still now they cant replace him
