i think the idea of a strong defensive guard next to trae makes all the sense in the world but i wouldn't pay a premium for murray who will lose a lot of his value playing off trae

the hawks desperately needed someone besides trae who can make a play and now they have that and dejounte is big enough to play the 2 and is a good defender, whether trae can break a lot of his bad habits around being a guy who just always has the ball and does nothing else will prob determine whether it works as well as possible

idk cam johnsons not really that good imho

if you look at who was taken after him it was a pretty great pick

he was coming on strong near the end of the season then got a hammy/quad injury and pretty much was worthless after that.

watching him try to guard luka was rough he couldnt do it even a little bit couldnt get low move his feet withstand the physicality any of it, obvs thats one of the toughest covers in the league but they really needed him to pitch in and he just couldnt
