The warriors won the curry stinker that’s impressive. But also a curry stinker still 16/3/8 +15 and made the right passes, the three just didn’t fall.

klay and poole were 11-22 from the field and 8-16 from three for 35 points. huge games from both guys and klay was really good in the fourth quarter for the second game in a row

Poole's halfcourt shot broke their spirit

Today was 3 years to the day since Klay's acl tear. So happy to see him thriving on the big stage again.

His defense is looking solid too

that is the most surprising part

Klay's defense has improved all through the playoffs. His D looked particularly good last 2 games. Already ready for some game 6 Klay vibes.

Klay's shooting touch is still intermittent and he's not quite as locked in as old Klay on D, but he looks to me to be about 90% of his old self which is a considerable feat of rehab. He really needs to have a full regular season of minutes to see where his present ceiling is.

klay’s release being so quick is his most important skill imo. his shooting isn’t all the way back but he gets off really difficult shots and bails their offense out a not insignificant amount of the time. ray allen played on title teams until he was 38 for pretty much the same reason

rob williams played 30 minutes and was +11 in a 10 point loss which means they were -21 in the other 18 minutes. seems important

Poole's mediocre defense was getting exploited and his offense wasn't making up for that.

well, he scored 14 points in 14 minutes on 50% shooting so i don't agree with that

but to me it seems clear that steph-klay-wiggins-payton is the backbone of the warriors best lineups and the other guys fit around that depending on who is playing well or the match up

looks like the celtics are basically down to a 7 man rotation: smart, brown, tatum, horford, williams, williams, white. pritchard only played 5 mins tho maybe he sees an uptick in mins at home

warriors have a solid 8 man rotation: curry, thompson, wiggins, porter, green, looney, payton, poole. bjelica only played 5 mins, igoudala 4

grant has been pretty ineffective in this matchup, celtics really need one more playable guy

i wouldn't say horford has been ineffective but after game 1 his impact has felt pretty muted. rob williams is clearly giving the warriors problems but boston's smaller bigs aren't really bothering them very much. grant in particular has felt like a total no show, the last two games especially -- 6 points, 4 rebounds, 7 fouls in 29 minutes

but to me it seems clear that steph-klay-wiggins-payton is the backbone of the warriors best lineups and the other guys fit around that depending on who is playing well or the match up

did you mean draymond to be in that payton spot? cos make no mistake draymond is still a major piece of the backbone, much more so than gp2.

no i'm saying that is clearly their best core 4 to me & i think they should be rotating out the fifth guy depending on circumstances

drays defense is still key.

My pet theory was that the C's were able to chase Curry and defend him well for about 3 quarters (I think he was also just off last night because a lot of his 3-pt misses were short), but that left them with nothing left in the fourth.

It’s just a different role for him, he can’t freelance cos he’s being tasked with being a wing stopper. Opens them up to giving up rim runs (game 3) but on the whole it’s worked to limit brown and make his life harder. He’s made a lot of “you’ll live with those” type of shots
