At least for the conference finals, 538 had the Mavs as the favorites (maybe even overwhelmingly so) to reach and even win the finals.

I'm rooting for the Warriors for an odd reason: when the Raptors won, I really admired that I never heard Curry or any of the Warriors blame or even mention losing Durant and Thompson for the series. Maybe the Raptors would have won anyway, but realistically, probably not. But no one on the Warriors tried to put any kind of a damper on that at all--they let us enjoy that moment 100%.

dray obvs going to be a tv guy when he retires, hes pretty raw right now but hes putting in the work one would think by the time hes ready to do it full time hell be way ahead of most guys

yeah im sure hes got some coaching hes already gotten better but hes still too longwinded. i find myself jumping 15-30 seconds at a time quite often. works ok for freelancing on a pod but on tv you gotta get to the point real quick-like.

yeah he also doesnt really explain himself hell be like in the playoffs the schemes and preparation change but then doesnt tell you how, needs to lean into the basketball genius aspect of his personality and away from the being riled up

he stays pretty even on his pod i think. probably good he's not getting in the weeds before a finals matchup lol. he usually gets deeper after the fact.

hes def a bit rough and learning the ropes. but yeah by the time he retires he'll be a well oiled machine, for better or worse.
