before he become a right wing grift practitioner ethan strauss wrote a good piece about covering baseball as someone who had only done the nba beat. one of his observations was that baseball players show up to the park insanely early. like 12 pm for a 7 pm game. and they just like…. hang out all day.

the point being baseball players are already experts at avoiding their families.
