yeah, ayton has great touch around the rim but sometimes i want to be all bill walton "throw it down big man!"

it’s extra crazy bcuz he’s a really good FT shooter for a center. but he’s taken 13 FTs in 4.5 games this series

Wiggins has never been that efficient

We've never seen a team lose a 2-2 Game 5 by 30+ and come back and win the series.

The big winners are 10-0 in eventually winning series.

So... we'll see what the 76ers and Mavericks can do this week to buck that history.

ayton def soft one thing is hes pretty slight with a high center of gravity so i cld def see how he tended towards more of a finesse game also doesnt seem like he has great flexibly which prevents him from getting low and powering through guys but playing soft is still a bad habit he needs to get after it more even if hes not ideally built for a physical game

prob the biggest reason the suns lost last year was they have no one who can even pretend to defend giannis he was just cooking ayton over and over, better hope the bucks dont get through again this year

looked up his weight and the official stats have him giannis and kd all within 10lbs of each other which just cant be true

yeah it’s a specific flaw in that match up for them. you need thick strong dudes vs giannis… PJ tucker, grant williams, horford etc. guys who are tall/long but can’t anchor vs him and make it hard for him to move don’t really have a shot. and the suns don’t have that guy

i’m ridiculously stoked for tonight. i read that the games in milwaukee were scheduled so soon after work that the stands were only half full for tipoff! i thought i detected a kind of sleepiness in the opening minutes tbh

ayton was great on jokic last year tho. also ayton being soft doesn't prevent him from doing what he's really good at, which is catching the ball in the paint and making those little shots

i just mean the mindset and the lack of aggression. they both prefer finesse finishes rather than using their physical gifts to overpower people and slam it home. whenever people talk about either player its 'thats the player they need to see every game if they want to win' and 'if only they would just do that on every play...' over and over. another similarity is they are now both in their ideal/preferred roles as 3rd/4th options. wiggins seems to be content with that and has bought into his role, this offseason we'll find out what ayton thinks of it (and how the suns view him).

yeah I guess it's just that wiggins didn't find a way to contribute to a winning team until this year, and ayton is an integral piece of a team that made the finals and had the best record in the NBA.

they struggled for offense last year in the playoffs quite a lot too. and that was with their 2nd best player involved.

when you’re relying really heavily on wes matthews, connaughton, portis, grayson is allegedly an asset… for the best teams in the NBA right now (boston, phoenix etc) those guys would be completely inessential pieces. i don’t totally fault the bucks i think they prob win this series if middleton is healthy given how close it’s been but yeah
