does Miami plan on making a bucket this quarter

frogbs, Monday, 9 May 2022 02:18 (four years ago)

he did a whole bit about it the last time he injured his face

I forgot about that!

They not going to look at that?

we only steal from the greatest books (PBKR), Monday, 9 May 2022 02:24 (four years ago)

he laid on the floor and everything

lag∞n, Monday, 9 May 2022 02:25 (four years ago)

of the dorky theatrical comedy bigs embiid is def the least lame but it's not the coolest club xps

Clay, Monday, 9 May 2022 02:25 (four years ago)

god its been years since I've seen that Harden step back 3 go in during a playoff 4th quarter

frogbs, Monday, 9 May 2022 02:27 (four years ago)

harden actually playing good?

lag∞n, Monday, 9 May 2022 02:27 (four years ago)

I'm stunned.

we only steal from the greatest books (PBKR), Monday, 9 May 2022 02:28 (four years ago)

ummm I don't quite know how to answer that question

frogbs, Monday, 9 May 2022 02:29 (four years ago)

Could still live without the slo-mo drives into 2-3 defenders.

we only steal from the greatest books (PBKR), Monday, 9 May 2022 02:29 (four years ago)

like he's definitely been vintage Harden in the 4th

frogbs, Monday, 9 May 2022 02:30 (four years ago)

fool's beard

Clay, Monday, 9 May 2022 02:31 (four years ago)

lol

symsymsym, Monday, 9 May 2022 02:36 (four years ago)

seems like there's too much incentive for hit guys to stay down and hope they draw a flagrant these offs

symsymsym, Monday, 9 May 2022 02:37 (four years ago)

3-point shooting in the Heat-76ers series:

Philly, 1st 2 games: 14-64, 21.9%
Miami, last 2 games: 14-65, 21.5%

— Tim Reynolds (@ByTimReynolds) May 9, 2022

dumb series

J0rdan S., Monday, 9 May 2022 03:08 (four years ago)

would be mighty impressive if Embiid can come back down 0-2 and win them this series despite a busted orbital, a concussion, a fucked up thumb ligament, and James Harden

frogbs, Monday, 9 May 2022 03:11 (four years ago)

well harden won them the game tonight so i’m not sure that really scans

J0rdan S., Monday, 9 May 2022 03:14 (four years ago)

sure but it felt like one of those late-career Roethlisberger games where he'd randomly rack up 400 yards & 3 TDs vs a team playing as hobbled & slow as he was

frogbs, Monday, 9 May 2022 03:26 (four years ago)

whatever, I'm not gonna be a hater. the NBA needs less haters. he was damn good in the 4th, hitting shots and playing situationally aware, as if he suddenly realized if Philly was gonna advance he was gonna have to be the man again

frogbs, Monday, 9 May 2022 03:28 (four years ago)

congratulations nikola joker

lag∞n, Monday, 9 May 2022 13:16 (four years ago)

Excellent. Gotta love his game.

Tracer Hand, Monday, 9 May 2022 14:06 (four years ago)

Leaving him off the top 75 really aged like milk

Matt Armstrong, Monday, 9 May 2022 14:08 (four years ago)

pleasantly surprised and happy for big honey. would have been fine with any of the big 3 winning it tho

k3vin k., Monday, 9 May 2022 14:09 (four years ago)

glad they got it right

ciderpress, Monday, 9 May 2022 14:16 (four years ago)

crazy

Spoelstra last night: "They had a handful of possessions that went all the way down to the end of the clock and made some big shots."

Indeed. The Sixers were an amazing 13-for-17 (6-for-8 from 3) in the last 6 seconds of the shot clock in Game 4 (via Second Spectrum).

lag∞n, Monday, 9 May 2022 17:09 (four years ago)

that pretty nuts. i wonder what the normal percentages are in the last 6 seconds of shot clock

he was eating Vaseline like it was bunch of cheeseburgers (Spottie), Monday, 9 May 2022 19:09 (four years ago)

2017 league-wide effective field goal percentage was 59 percent in the first six seconds of the shot clock, 52 percent with 6-18 seconds on the clock, and just 43 percent in the last six seconds of the clock, according to Second Spectrum.

lag∞n, Monday, 9 May 2022 20:53 (four years ago)

nice. 7 seconds or less suns had it right

why are they being so weird about this?

Ja Morant didn’t go through shootaround. Asked what injury specifically is, Taylor Jenkins said the injury is still being evaluated. He said Morant underwent an MRI but he won’t say the results. Asked if Morant will try to warmup before game, Jenkins said still to be determined.

Maybe because the nature of the injury doesn't line up with their Jordan Poole vulcan nerve pinch complaints.

Chyiv Kyiv (Fetchboy), Monday, 9 May 2022 21:11 (four years ago)

same reason why the sixers took a 50k fine for pretending embiid wasn't playing even tho everyone knew he was playing

J0rdan S., Monday, 9 May 2022 21:12 (four years ago)

teams in all sports cling to this notion that being secretive about player injuries throws the other team into chaos because they don't know what to prepare for or whatever

J0rdan S., Monday, 9 May 2022 21:17 (four years ago)

i feel like if you prepare for their best player and then they dont play them you've still won the mind game

ciderpress, Monday, 9 May 2022 21:19 (four years ago)

the grizzlies are better without him :)

and the playoffs are the perfect place to prove it ;-)

more difficult than I look (Aimless), Monday, 9 May 2022 22:15 (four years ago)

Boston says Robert Williams is OUT with left knee soreness.

so this return timeline was too good to be true

J0rdan S., Monday, 9 May 2022 22:26 (four years ago)

ayiyi

Tracer Hand, Monday, 9 May 2022 22:40 (four years ago)

Celtics already whining after every possession

frogbs, Monday, 9 May 2022 23:47 (four years ago)

grayson allen uncontested layup and connaughton blocking your shot… not pretty

Tracer Hand, Monday, 9 May 2022 23:53 (four years ago)

Yeah 10 point lead despite missing like 3 layups….love to see it

frogbs, Monday, 9 May 2022 23:54 (four years ago)

Wes Matthews really filling the PJ Tucker role nicely

frogbs, Monday, 9 May 2022 23:55 (four years ago)

he’s been so good

Tracer Hand, Tuesday, 10 May 2022 00:01 (four years ago)

can't believe he's still around and contributing tbh!

Clay, Tuesday, 10 May 2022 00:05 (four years ago)

Celtics seem to be bottling up Giannis pretty well and if they can draw charges by flopping it’s gonna be a long night for him. Seems like the kind of game where they could really use someone like Middleton cuz they’ve had open guys from 3

frogbs, Tuesday, 10 May 2022 00:08 (four years ago)

absolutely incredible d on giannis

Tracer Hand, Tuesday, 10 May 2022 00:30 (four years ago)

brown really makes some bad decisions sometimes

Tracer Hand, Tuesday, 10 May 2022 00:33 (four years ago)

i don’t think either team has looked particularly sharp

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 10 May 2022 00:33 (four years ago)

feels like the bucks are playing 1 on 5 on offense so often without middleton out there. tatum has just felt weirdly absent from both games in milwaukee
